lawrence260
I am trying to understand the why the address and destination tag. Do we have our own address? Or is the destination tag the only thing unique. Reason I ask is I withdrew XRP from an exchange and it never showed. I look up the address it gave to deposit and it says it has 359,000 XRP in it. They have stated they had server crashes which I believe and that there is a huge back log they are trying to sort out. I am simply trying to figure out If I will ever see my money again, and if I was scammed. Edited January 12, 2018 by lawrence260

You will have your own unique wallet address unless your XRP is held on an exchange that uses a group wallet in which case your XRP wallet address is uniquely identified by the addition of an ID tag. If you have not included the ID tag when required, you will need to provide details of your transaction and ID tag to the exchange support team of the receiving wallet to request them to allocate it to you. Well it would be a group wallet. It is showing over 375.000 XRP there and been climbing everyday. Its been 9 days and no answer from support. When I transferred it I made sure I put in the correct address and tag id. Their facebook is blowing up with the same issues. There is a ETH address that some deposited to that shows over 1mm and people are missing deposits and withdrwals
