Ledger Nano S

Has anyone had problems with Ledger?

1.  No contact number and Support does not return emails

2. Facebook has a page but does not look kept or responded to

3. Heard of problems with deposits disappearing.

Going to cancel my order and report it as a scam

I bought back in July. Had no problems with it, tbh.

Haven't used it THAT much, though, basically sent XRP for HODLing and that's about it.

I did restore a second one so that it's a copy of the 1st, too.

Source on #3? If you're going to make accusations at least back them up. If you're referring to the guy who bought a Ledger Nano S from a third party and was scammed by the third party that's got nothing to do with Ledger Nano S at all. 

FWIW I've had no issues with my Ledger Nano S at all and it's worked perfectly for me in the 12 months I've had it.

FWIW I've had no issues with my Ledger Nano S at all and it's worked perfectly for me in the 12 months I've had it.

Dietmar Nass I rarely experienced such a bad customer service as Ledger's. They send you an eMail: "Your order has been shipped" and a tracking no., but when you ask DHL support, they inform you that only the data have been entered into the system but the package has not been handed over yet to DHL. That's misleading by Ledger! To make it worse, their customer service is practically non-existent.

I purchased mine on 29 december from France and had it on 5 januari. Put my XRP on it and checked yesterday. All is fine!

I think all the crypto industry is full of work and they are not excluded. So it takes time to answer.

The only thing I'm afraid of Ledger, is if they shutdown the nodes where they submit the transactions. There is not a way to tell manually to which server it connects. Two days ago I wasn't able to send a BTC transaction.

Cause from a week or two ago, it says Shipping not possible until March 20 or something

I did purchase direct from france and it arrives in less than a week but I no longer use it as it is too experimental. Too much is failing on the device too often. Then I wrote to the devs on Reddit and their reply was super unprofessional. I transferred all coins out if it and back into my cold wallets.

It is hit or miss with these guys. Some have good luck and others cant get any at all. Service is unprifessioanlly poor. No chance you get a human to help you from there.

Personaly a coldwallet is free and has NO qustion of its security. With ledger your coins may be secure but you must rely on them to be able to do your business.

No issues so far. Last XRP transfer from Ledger Nano S to bitstamp took ages, but then after about 40 minutes it had arrived at bitstamp.

Ooohh...maybe I should wait then before I contact my CC. I ordered 1/2 - they had no mention of backorder at the time.  what about the problems with missing deposits or syncing?  Am I over-paranoid?

I just subscribed to this forum for this topic.

Please verify that when you are opening your ripple wallet that Chrome is not running at the same time. I had similar issue and thanks to a guy on youtube (How to Fix common Issue with Ripple Wallet not Loading for Ledger Nano S - Safely Store Your XRP!) I found the solution.

I had the same problem. Just use Chrome to use the app-manager. Then when you want to look at your wallet(s), jus close the app-manager and chrome and startup the wallet.
