ripplenet.io Wallet Scam?

Hi guys. I would just like to ask for a friend. Has any of you tried the https://ripplenet.io/ wallet? One of my friends put in his XRP in this wallet and apparently, they're not allowing him to withdraw the funds since he is "not verified", and to be verified, he needs to add more funds. It really sound like some sort of scam. Just wondering if any of you have any experience with them. Thanks!

He says they're asking for around 450 to 650 more in his account so that it could be "verified" and so that he could move his funds.

Scam imo

Yeah, I think so too. Just trying to see if someone else has an experience with it to see what happened. His explanation was that they keep saying that he's unverified and that's why he can't move the funds. And to be verified, he had to add more. So he kept adding until all of his XRP is in the wallet, and it's still unverified. I've never moved my XRP from the exchange, so I have no experience with this.

That is complete bullsh*t to be honest with you. Never, ever heard that "walletproviders" wanted you to deposit more to move funds.  They just want to scam your friend for a higher amount of XRP...

I'm not 100% sure about it being a scam but I'd prepare your friend for a loss of his XRP's.

Yeah, I though it was fishy too that they have that requirement. Although I've never tried one, I have never heard of a wallet requiring this much coins just to work. Thanks for the replies anyway.

This is absolutely a SCAM and is also infringing on Ripple trademark. Do not send any more XRP and report it to the police.

Thank you Khaleesi for repeatedly warning me and others about this site.

I am not about to use it, register on it or even approach this site because of the red flags presented. And I want to extend this advice to all users who thinks differently and want to try this out.

I do believe Ripple should be aware of this site and should provide some details/recommendations as this site uses the name RippleNet and can be confusing to other users.
