Cheapest way to buy XRP aka avoid fees?

Just wanted to open up the discussion. Fairly new to this, I’ve bought xrp by buying eth/ltc from Coinbase  and using evercoin to convert it to xrp. I’ve noticed I’m not getting as much xrp for the money and the fees are hitting me. I know there’s a slight disparity between me using eth to buy xrp compared to me using USD but I have a feeling there are other options. Is this the only way with a lot of the sites shut down (binance/ Bitstamp( verification backlog)) or is there a cheaper option? Just wanted to open up the discussion.

Bitstamp shut down . . . ?
No it is not - it is where I trade moving money there with Bank transfers - fee, at least within the SEPA zone to move money to trade with, where I am = 0, Nada.

Fees for buying XRP there are extremely low.
As an example buying 100 XRP there the fee is €0.17.

Bitstamp verification takes weeks from what I’ve been reading. I’ve only been waiting a few days but they take awhile to verify from my research.

I am in Europe. I helped one on my friends over the phone do Bitstamps KYC.
That was saturday 6 jan on monday 8 jan his Account was Verified in less than 48 hours and he has his first SEPA-transfer on the way to buy his first Zerps.

I’m in the US. I wish it was quick like that but it’s takes some over here up to a month to get verified due to the high volume.

To bad @Wilso91
I don not think it is a US problem.
I have fellow Europeans who also have problem with the KYC there and have been waiting for weeks.
I think that it is beacuse their KYC is fairly complicated. To bad for them really
Not complicated on what to do, but how to do it.
I could easily refresh their KYC GUI and get it far more simpler to use in 2-4 hours.

I used coinbase, and a credit card.

Bought LTC on Coinbase  Transferred this to the exchange. At the time, Binance required minimum verification, for digital currency transfers, so their verification time was minimal, if not instant. By the time I converted the LTC to XRP on Binance, my net worth was $476, from a charge of $500.00 to my Credit card. I did this multiple times, using LTC to transfer to Binance. All were fast (minutes) and cheap.

I sent ACH payments from my bank to the credit card company, and was relieved to see that the coinbase charges were not cash advances, rather normal charges, so their were no additional fees.
