nicomanca
Hello, I am new to Ripple and thought the best (easiest) place to get started would be Gatehub. However, the whole process is very confusing and unclear, and I am not sure exactly how it works and how long it takes; I apologize in advance as I understand similar questions might have already been asked, but still could not make sense of it. First of all, how does the 20XRP minimum requirement work, and how can I start trading XRP if I need XRP to start trading? Secondly, I already own BTC and thought I would transfer them over so that I keep everything in one place. Also figured I could then use those BTC to buy the initial 20XRP required. However, when I click on the "Deposit/Receive" link in the picture below Nothing happens, as my browser (tried with both Internet Explorer and Chrome) gets stuck on the page below Has this happened to anyone else before? Is it a technical issue caused by something on my end, or could it be due to activation issues on Gatehub's side? Thanks everyone!
Jonsereds
Go to Binance. Gatehub has been super slow, and their customer service is non-responsive. They may just be really really really really backed up at the moment, but still not worth the headache. I'm still waiting for my ETH transfer to hit my wallet.....coming up on day 4..... Dymac
You need to activate your Ripple Wallet. Some use this site https://bithomp.com/activation/ or you can even purchase xrp on Ebay. Once your Ripple wallet is activated you can then send your BTC to your Ripple Wallet but make sure you send it to the BTC address.
BlackBox88
As above make sure you only sent XRP to your gatehub account and not the BTC because it can only be activated with XRP. So best is to take you BTC to an other exchange like Binance trade it for XRP and sent the XRP to you ripple wallet to activate it. Then you can decide how you want to add more money |(First set up the trustlines) and use the trade function (try out with small amount first) https://support.gatehub.net/hc/en-us/articles/115004442854-First-deposit-and-wallet-activation For the screens it seems technical issue with your brower/computer, can you try on a different computer but with you account to see if that works. It should look like this: *I hid my QR code + Rippel addres* Edited January 9, 2018 by BlackBox88 Deleted the second fuzy screenshot
