Connecting Some Dots...

Recommended Posts

I believe the word that y'all are looking for is "oligarchy."  A relatively small number of families/corporations have their fingers in most everything, including one another.  Search long enough and you will find links basically everywhere.

The Ripple conspiracy theory!

Love it - I hope you didn't spend a ton of time making it because I've got some new research that adds to the complexity a little bit. I'll keep updating my original post with edits as I add them

OMG it really works!

ping alipay.ripple.com

So I'm not a tech person at all but decided to put the IP address into my browser's search bar. 23.226.76.250 .  Anyone else do this?  Looks suspicious...

Just to add to your post, Andreessen Horowitz has invested in both Ripple and Coinbase.

Yeah, tonight I've got a lot more work to do to see what else is out there

correct me if i'm wrong , but when you whois a subdomain name , you get the result of the second level domain name on whois

based on this , the information that the query provides about alipay.ripple.com is actually related to ripple.com

look at the dates , its 1998 when chris registered the ripple.com domain

You are correct. Whois returns the primary domain owner, not the subnetwork.

Notice the return email addresses, which all point to "info@ripple.com".

I think I might have preferred "incestuous." But we don't have to go there.

Oh, PS: "their fingers in everything, including one another" has to win some sort of award for "major ICK of the week." Where's my brain flush kit...?

Just pinged it. Worked for me. Interesting. Hosted by a server farm in Phoenix. Not sure if it means anything. Maybe someone registered it to resell.

I could ping it.

I saw on Twitter earlier this had made the rounds back in August on last year.   So I don't know what's what.
