Has Gatehub Taken the Money and Run?

In a facebook search it seems that  I am not alone with transactions that have not been completed. On January 5, 2018 8:46 PM I sent .739 btc out of my account. It has simply vanished as far as I can tell. I am not aware of a  way to follow the transaction beyond this XRP ledger entry. 29D97A8D75FED2414317490BFF768110D91F4C18C813DC15145F3ADD3CBDA3E0

They are yet to respond to my ticket #345162

I have sent a couple of Tweets.

It is gutwrenching to have absolutely no reply. It is disgusting that there is seemingly no reasonable way to contact them.

Has anyone here suffered a similar fate? What was the outcome?

Can anyone tell me a better way to reach Gatehub? Do they have a physical presence anywhere?

Can there be a big blazing banner warning people away from them? I know I found them long ago here (well 18 months, long time in crypto ;) )

An acquaintance's btc transaction from Gatehub took 10 days.

I signed up 3 weeks ago and still have recieved no response. I eventually used Kraken.

They[Gatehub] are very backed up and I would give it a few days. You're going to be fine. Transactions like this don't "disappear."

Welp, I just popped 185XRP from Gatehub to Binance.  It was sent and received and done and done within 3 minutes.

I've left 30.89 XRP in my Gatehub wallet to cover the wallet plus the ETH and USD gateways.

Maybe someday my ETH will show......

I just found this on their twitter feed -

Better to be fed ******** than nothing -

This makes me want to continue to do business with them! I mean I need to clear out as much of my remain balances as they will let me.

January 2018

We are experiencing a high influx of new customers, paired with increased frequency of both bank and crypto transactions, consequently also a high number of customer support requests.

All of the above leads to delays in account verifications, delays in bank and crypto transactions processing and delays in support service replies.

Please take the above into consideration.

Expect delays

Please be patient and give our team more time to address your requests, whether that be to process your transaction or reply to your ticket.

The demand proves to be a challenge for many service providers throughout the cryptocurrency industry, we are no exception. We are continuously scaling our team optimising our services to meet the demand."

My ETH did show yesterday.  Not impressed with the 6+ day transfer time.

It seems that the ETH to the the Gatehub HotWallet in about an hour, but then spent the next 6 days waiting to be converted to some sort of ETH IOU on the Ripple ledger....?

Already converted.

I will leave the wallet at Gatehub for now.  By all accounts, they supposedly are a fairly secure XRP wallet.  I'll try and migrate the wallet once I have time and decide on a better solution.

I have closed all other trustlines on Gatehub.  I'll pay the fee to switch coins on Binance and move them to different wallets.....

I feel for you guys. I had a bad experience and decided I'd consider using them again when positive comments started to appear. That was a 2 months ago and I just see no improvement.

I hope others are able to resolve their issues but once that's done you really need to consider how forgiving you plan to be.

In fairness, not too many folks go posting unsolicited positive comments for what basically amount to transparent services.  Those are typically taken for granted.

Everything I have read/heard suggests that having a Ripple Wallet (not a hosted wallet) on Gatehub is pretty secure.  Everything else, caveat emptor.
