zenkert
I helped a friend a bit to do the KYC at Bitstamp. We talked on the phone Saturday 6 jan 2018 while he was doing it. (A total noob to anything crypto and exchanges and so forth) Today it is monday 8 jan 2018. He just messed me with 3 smilies and a Thumps up. His account is verified. And he can start trading. How about that for a change, to all the complaints of how SLOW Bitstamp is? 48 hours it took. SGoldstein and eb6x7 1
SGoldstein
You know what I think sometimes? People that complain **** up their submissions. Like too dark, not even visible, blurry af... Then complaining "TWO WEEKS AND NO VERIFICATION" zenkert

Champipple
I'm waiting to get verified on Gemini, I'm guessing it will be a while so still stuck with CB and their low weekly withdrawl limits.
XRPeteSampras
@zenkert, do you know what the withdrawal limits are for Bitstamp? I have most of my XRP holdings there and I've actually never looked at what their limits are (I'm still planning on hodling for years). ripplemuncher
Bigmike
I applied for verification all of the major exchanges in early December and the only one that I got into was binance. All the others including gatehub, bitStamp and Kracken are still pending
frankg
I've been waiting for bitstamp to verify me since mid December. Documentation I sent was perfect... At this point I couldn't care less that they haven't verified me, but still annoying. WrathofKahneman

But I have moved XRP into my Wallet. And the cost has been like almost zero. XRPeteSampras

Funny, I can't seem to find an answer on the Bitstamp website, and their FAQ's only say that the minimum amount is $50. On an old Reddit thread, someone called Bitstamp-Matic says there are "no limits for our verified users." If that is the case, then FANTASTIC, but can anyone verify? zenkert
For all you who who are complaining about verify time of account at Bitstamp: I am not employd by Bitstamp. I have no relation with Bitstamp, except being one of their customer. My OP was a statement that should be read like below*. Shoot me if you like. *You have done something wrong in their KYC. No matter what you claim. That´s why you are not verified yet. Go ahead now, fire away!!!
WrathofKahneman
That's discouraging - they have been reviewing my app for 3wks now, with nary a peep. Fortunately I got on elsewhere in November, but I am in digital limbo w Bitstamp. I will say, with the amount of personal data they need to collect, it makes the wait a bit more nerve wracking for some reason. edit- well, at least I am not the only one. The bright side is now your friend can buy XRP and keep the price moving up Edited January 8, 2018 by WrathofKahneman

Well, log in again and restart the process, that is no problem at all to do that. I did that 2 times before I got verified. There are some things to look out for in their KYC. You need to do it with a clear mind and you need to read carefully and fill in the forms exactly as they state. emsemporium
