GossiP
Hi all, Im a newbie, but have posted a few times in the past- over an issue I have had - I am learning bit by bit- I think I have answered my own question below, but can someone confirmI had a problem setting up with my Nano s over the last few months, which i have been working through- I sent my coins from BTC Markets to the address I thought I had originally set up on my Nano - Based on my research I realize now I must have made a mistake (somehow) when setting the Nano S up. I restored my Nano s last week again, the result was that the restored address was is different for the original I sent XRP coins to. To be honest I'm not sure were I got the original address from, i think it may have happened when I was setting up the ripple wallet, I assume looking at it now that I mistakenly generated a address during the install but this obviously differed form the Nano Address My Question is, have I lost the coins for good- if so shall I just give up trying to get them back and put it down to experience or is there any avenue I can take to restore the coins to my new address. The XRP's are still visible in the Chart but If I do not have the keys to this address does this mean they are lost for good, as I cant access them? I have a record of the transfer from BTC Thank you all in advance RS
Tikrp
Am sorry to hear that. The first rule in crypto is that you record and store your secret key to any address somewhere safe where you alone have access to it. I am not so familiar with nano and I am just going to try it out but I know many on here are experts and will happily advise you. Without your secret though I really dont know. Best of luck. Tikrp
From what I understand about the Ledger S if you wrote down the 24 words that u were shown during configuration u should be able to regain access to your wallet. Try also contacting support for the nano ledger wallet. They will definately be more helpful than i have been.
GossiP
Thanks Tikrp, yes I restored the Nano but the restored address differed from the original i had- so i must of stuffed up when I set either the Nano or the Ripple wallet app and copied the wrong address when sending my XRP's
