latetothegame
So I'm in the process of setting up my Ledger Nano S so I can transfer my XRP from Gatehub and when I try to download the Ripple application from the Ledger Manager it gives me an "Unable to install application" error. In reading the help guides they indicate that this is because there is insufficient space on my Nano S, but this is the first application I have tried to load. Does this mean I need to somehow delete one of the original applications that were pre-loaded? It looks like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Fido U2F are pre-loaded. Anyone have any experience with this? DCLXVI
Yes, when i first got my ledger nano s i freaked out coz it didn't work for me ?. . I fixed it by closing all my google chrome tabs and closing the application itself, deleting the extensions and then re installing it all. After thats done delete the wallets that you don't need as it takes up space on your ledger and download ripple wallet. 7strings

I was worried about trying to delete one of the preloaded items but once I deleted the Fido U2F I was able to download the Ripple wallet app.

latetothegame
Ok, next question because I'm a complete newbie to this stuff. The address under the QR code in my ledger ripple wallet is MY Ripple Wallet Address for my Ledger Nano S and that address shouldn't change right? Getting ready to send my first test amount from Gatehub to my new wallet. Thanks.
latetothegame
And what is the QR code for?

When them zerps show up there, they will show up on your nano Edited January 7, 2018 by smoothy

Yeah so you'll see two arrows. one pointing up and one pointing down. next to the home icon the one pointing up is for sending the one pointing down is for receiving. The letters and numbers under the QR code is your wallet address for receiving. The QR code itself just makes it easier to send or receive money you just scan and the address it's auto typed

latetothegame
My small amount of XRP is safely on my Ledger Nano S. Thanks Everyone and one last question. I know the 20 XRP reserve put in my Gatehub Ripple Wallet wasn't mine to begin with, but is there a way to transfer that out too? For example, I plan on closing my Gatehub account because the delays in getting my ETH from Coinbase to my wallet cost me the chance to purchase at a lower price so I'm looking at going to Bittrex and would like to get everything I can from Gatehub if possible. No. They are not available. Sorry ( I have 7 accounts with 20 zerps I can not use)

That being said, if I was to open another wallet on say Bittrex, do I have to populate that 20 or does Bittrex also fund that first 20 xrp? Generally speaking, the only way you will get any of those 20 XRPs is if the trusted validators vote to reduce the wallet reserve. I hypothesize this will happen soon(ish). You will never be able to get all the XRP out, as there will always be a wallet reserve. DCLXVI
