Thank you. Please read through the rest of the problem section or the new members -> Wallet activation thread, this answer has been given over a 1000 times, i personally already given the answer over 20 times For example:
LOUISRICH507
that post is outdated. gatehub no longer give you the activation with the mobile verification. bithomp also do not accept pay pal. eBay accounts are charging nearly £200 for 50 XRP. JJBandit
I'm having a similar issue as described here. I tried sending in ETH to activate my wallet, as the post also in that thread from gatehub suggests thats an option (badly worded, as apparently its not) but did work for a friend sending BTC accross. I cant set the trust line, assumedly due to having no xrp in the wallet, as the trust lines cost 5xrp each apparently So i asked my friend to send me 21xrp (to cover the transaction fee) and it says my wallet does not exist in vault. Its been nearly a week since i logged a support ticket. I tried shapeshift, but lost the £30 transaction fee as it has a 5 minute time frame, which is way too short for btc at the moment. Most of the other wallet/exchanges are not taking new users on most suggested in the various "how to activate my xrp wallet" posts. So i'm also looking for a "working" alternative method to buy some ripple and send it to my wallet to activate it. But i'm concerned that it will bounce as they will not be able to find my wallet also. So if you find anything that works OP, please let us know. Shapeshift times out and Binance (which was strongly recommended) is not taking any new member registrations. If anyone has a good alternative to make the BTC or ETH exchange to XRP for Gatehub Ripple Wallet, please let us know!! Thanks!!

LOUISRICH507
the only solutions at the moment are; ripple transfers from a friend or pay way over the odds from a third party. most exchanges like said above aren't taking on any new accounts. I've lost money in the block chain due to badly worded information.

Unless he somehow got the wrong address. But looking at his screen grabs in my post, they appear correct

Thank you. Gatehub gave me the activation fee for free after a week of waiting. Woke up the other day with 20xrp in acct. i think a lot of the chaos here is being caused by impatience. They have so many people trying to register and verify and activate that things will just simply take time. That said, i confirm that the 20 xrp for account activation was free. JJBandit
I'm sure you are right beav, As looking historically, they don;t seem to be this bad. But their communication needs a lot of work. Their recent post about new signups, should be a bit clearer, and they should at least make more accurate status announcements rather than just leaving us all in the dark.
