enrique11
Just found this today. I was wondering if anyone more technically inclined than I am can figure out to what extent this would affect the security and performance of cryptocurrency networks and ecosystems: https://techcrunch.com/2018/01/03/kernel-panic-what-are-meltdown-and-spectre-the-bugs-affecting-nearly-every-computer-and-device/

Burgoyne
More techcrunch demagoguing. This is a problem for some pow/pos crypto's but not for Stellar's Lumens or Ripple's XRP. Too many fools out there are running grossly outdated versions of Windows, Android OS and ios. Outdated software alone accounts for some 90% of successful hacks and is never often spoken of. Buy a hardware wallet or keep your operating system updated and you will have no problems.
