bitcoin stuck in gatehub. endless loop of problems. why is this so hard??

so, like an idiot, I transferred some btc to my brand new gatehub account so i could buy xrp at $2 (its now $3.5). its in a wallet that somehow isn't ripple enabled. i can't exchange to ripple because it isn't a ripple wallet. when i try to move it to a new wallet in my same account in gatehub it tells me that the new wallet isn't connected to the vault. when i try to open gateways in the new wallet it gives me unknown error. when i try to open gateways on my home screen it tells me my account profile is incomplete. when i try to complete my profile it won't accept anything for the address verification and just keeps telling me upload failed (tried different documents in different formats pdf, jpg) but my passport photo worked fine.

this is starting to feel intentional. are they using my computer to mine while i run around in circles on their site? since this mess i started using another exchange and it couldn't be easier or more straight forward. why is this so hard?

this has been going on for a week, support is totally useless... any ideas??

You need 20 XRP to enable the wallet for your BTC to credit.

I did the same as you. Fixed issue with Shapeshift to trade BTC for XRP.

the bitcoin credited to a wallet i created in gatehub... it just doesn't work for anything. and for some reason the fee to move the btc out is 3x any other site. if i move 20xrp from another account how will i get it back out? the faq states i have to keep 20xrp in the wallet. faq says if i deactivate the account make sure to withdraw everything first. this is starting to feel like a scam...

Screen shot?

As far as I was aware (and I am new!), nothing works without the XRP - including receiving crypto (hence all the posts here about missing BTC / ETH transfers into Gatehub).

screenshot of what? i'm not missing the btc. i just can't do anything on gatehub...

Very strange - normally you can't even get the deposit to show without the XRP in there first!

To be honest I'd try to send the 20 XRP in and see if that works. Costing you more in lost gains than the risk (in my opinion) waiting on Gatehub to sort it out.

So you're saying I can create Shapeshift acct then transfer BTC from Coinbase to Shapeshift then trade BTC for XRP on Shapeshift?

I personally haven't used Shapeshift, I used Binance.  I sent ETH to binance, sold for XRP, sent the XRP to my Gatehub wallet and all was set.

FYI - you will not be able to get your 20 XRP back.  It is needed to keep the wallet active, and you aren't able to "deactivate your wallet" to get the 20 XRP back.

Yes, exactly what I did/do.

Only correction to your post is you don’t need a shape shift account. No sign up needed to use it.
