Hi Guys, very sorry if this has been menioned i have browsed the forum but not found anything concrete.

I set up an account with ripple in 2014 and purchased ripples then did nothing about it. I have verified myself on gatehub and theres an option to make new wallet and do a migration from my old ripple account (client)and insert secret key as i do not have original user name and password.

It wont accept my secret key for some reason.

The question i have is do i still need to credit that new wallet with 20xrp for it to accept my secret key?

Any other reason why it might not accept it. Can i use another safe wallet to import my secret key into it?

Many thanks for any comments

If you have a key pair (private/ public) then that IS the wallet. As long as there is more than 20XRP you do not need to re-activate it.

Importing a wallet simply means using a interface to access the wallet
