Bitstamp reverses possibility to credit XRP deposits to BTC/USD address?

Copied from reddit:

For those of us that have mistakenly sent our XRP to the wrong address, (The Ripple (BTC,USD) instead of Ripple (XRP)), we may be out of luck now as per the following message: "WARNING: Please make sure that only BTC and USD represented by Ripple IOUs are sent to the Ripple deposit address. Payments sent in any other cryptocurrency will not be credited. I have read the warning". Even though I was under the impression that the mistake could be corrected, Bitstamp has chosen to reverse this and decided to make no effort to assist their customers.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

So, I've raised a ticket on 12/12 and they told me that my funds will be credited to my account. Now this warning appears. Should all the people get worried now that their funds are basically wasted?

If yes then I wouldn't mind paying much to go the hard way by law.

I see nothing has changed on the website or the faq section.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I SEND XRP TO THE WALLET INTENDED FOR USD AND BTC?

No worries, simply let us know of this by opening a Support Ticket here: https://www.bitstamp.net/support/or send us an email at support@bitstamp.net. Our Support Team will be happy to help.

I hope it won't get changed. If it does then yes, no returns anymore.

I'm just worried and informing about the warning. Not trying to spread FUD.

No problem.........its a good reminder/warning for others to be more careful when moving crypto.

Yes. This warning will definitely lessen wrong deposits. I'm just trying to stay calm until they make an official statement to my ticket I guess.
