nextxrp
Hi, I am new to using XRP, and I think I have done a mistake that lead to losing all the XRP I had. I got resembled with the thought of the lost money, but am curious of how did it happen? Some time ago I bought some XRP using Kraken, and played a bit around trying to understand how it worked. I would say I used at most half a day reading about Ripple (big mistake, should have spent longer time). I then downloaded the Ripple wallet from: https://github.com/ripplerm/ripple-wallet and used it to create an address. After a couple of transfers back and forth from Kraken, I felt confident of putting all the XRP I had in the account I created. I have then saved the public key, private key and seed in a text file, and forgot about them. Fast forward to yesterday, when I checked the account again, using the same wallet application. The XRP I had were gone (except the 20 that have to be on an account). I have tried to track where the money went using Bithomp. I can see that shortly after depositing the XRP, there were 3 transfers emptying the wallet. My wallet: rMYjDLLbJXcoFNcx5f7ZwW8qAaDvpx3K7C Foreign wallet: rLGAMEmYQMDV5uV8cyvcVUeCm9RcdSpQ1N What baffles me, is that the money only went into the foreign wallet, but not out of it. How can this happen? Was it converted into the 0.006 BTC on the foreign wallet? If yes, how come the exchange is not listed in the transfer history? Are there any other tools that are more comprehensible than Bithomp, that I could use to track the money?
