As you all know I am a big fan and a KYC customer at Bitstamp.
But during the last week or so there have been a lot of bad/hard feelings regarded to Bitstamp.
Most of them related to buying with Credit Card.
So I have tried to do that 4 times. Having the same problem as you all had.

To inform you I have just posted this to their support.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I post this in the Category Credit Cards, cuould been in Debit Cards also.
I am KYC:ed customer. I have bought with my Master Card once.

What i am going to say now, is that the question I am going to ask is not just from me.
The questions represents a lot of problems posted on XRPchat that have had the same
problem as I.

Buying with Credit/Debit Card does not work properly.
"Contact your Card Provider, is what happens.

You have lost a lot of Company trust, and lot´s of new Customers related to this Issue.

I and all the other disappointed, who I am representing would like you to explain why
this happens and if there is any technical issue behind it, correct it as soon as possible.

A tweet and a annoucement, on the issue on the site would be more than Welcome.
Explaining, what it is all about.

PS.
I have tride to buy 4 times with my Mastercard during the last 36 hours without any
success, tried buying BTC and tried buying XRP.
DS.

I surely hope you will look into this a.s.a.p.

Best Regards.

That is an old one, but still Valid. They need to hire some more Staff to their Support Department, I say, and they can afford it.
My feeling is that these word that I wrote might attract some interest. But hey they make money anyway.

I am not sure they will answer like that. If they do?
I will contact my Bank who is the Issuer of my Card, connected to one of my Bank Accounts.
Take their answers and feedback them to Bitstamp. I have not lost faith in Bistamp at all.
SEPA-transfers and anything else works just fine. It is the Credit Card issue I am hunting down.

My experience with CC purchase involved my CC being declined twice by BitStamp.  After the second time I called my CC provider and they informed me it was their (CC company's) internal protocol to block charges involving cryptocurrency or token-based assets due to the unregulated nature of the purchase.  I then asked and received a manager's override on my CC and was able to purchase XRP through BitStamp instantly.

Maybe other people are dealing with a different issue, but if your card is being declined then you need to call your credit card company and speak to a manager about why it's being declined and see if they can help resolve the situation.  A declined card should nromally have nothing to do with the business charging the card.  That's on your lender / CC provider.

I attempted to make a CC purchase on Friday, of course it was declined.  I called Bank of America, they said the didn't even seen an attempt at a transaction, so it's not even getting to them.  I've tried MasterCards, several different Visas I have, all the same...Very frustrating as I would like to further build my stash before it gets too expensive...

I talked to my bank in person , on the phone in multiple depts, the card provider and they all say there is nothing wrong with the card and they are not blocking anything they all say my card is fully activated with the systems that bitstamp is claiming i need to make sure are in place on the card. The card provider says there is no history in the system of bitstamp ever trying to charge my card , there is no record of any tranaction of any kind and i tried prolly 15 times.

I told bitstamp all this and they still said its my card. ?

I signed up for bitstamp because i wanted to purchase on card and i read nothing but good reviews about them. I was trying to buy in when it was .20 by the time i figured out another way im getting half the amount of xrp i couldve gotten because i wasted so much time with them.

Chill a bit. They are overwhelmed by the demand wave. It is going to be ok soon. It is just that you have to buy before and not within the storm.

I've been reading your posts, and I really like your brand of intellectual rationalism, @xh3b4sd

P.S. Not a dig at you, Zenkert. You're aces.
