Correct secret key does not work

Hi all, so I created a rippex wallet which was deleted from my computer. However, having activated it and put extra XRP into it I did have the secret key. When I try to use it to recover a new wallet or in a wallet with Toast or Gatehub it says invalid key! I initially wrote the key down 2 separate times and then copied/pasted into a word document - all match. I cannot get to my Ripple, only see them via the address (Bithump). Weirdly the address doesn't work if I try to use it in 'cold wallet' but shows account elsewhere. Am I screwed? It is definitely the correct secret key.!!

Try importing your secret key to https://www.theworldexchange.net and then sending them to another Ripple address you own.

Be careful what you do there, as it's not very user-friendly and I would describe it as an advanced tool.
