Aldrichd
I purchased some bitcoin through coinbase. I now want to convert it to Ripple. I understand that I have to do that through Changelly. Changelly is asking for my XRP address and destination tag. Where would I find that. How would I then go about activating my Ripple Wallet? Thanks in advance as I'm brand new to this. Guest
Use Shapeshift.io If the exchange fails, Shapeshift will send the btc back to your account. With Changelly, there's no field for a return address.

You need to have an xrp wallet first This can be one on an exchange that offers xrp (you will have to join that exchange) then you will see your xrp address and ID tag (if applicable) for that exchange wallet. Not all xrp exchange wallets have ID tags so check very carefully. If and only if your exchange xrp wallet has no ID tag it is because that exchange gives you an individual wallet as opposed to a ‘group’ wallet. Exchanges with ‘group’ wallets must have the wallet ID tag used to identify those funds as yours. In the event there is no ID tag required but you are being asked for one you can just put ‘0’ in that field. Or, you can use an independent wallet like Toast wallet (you will need to set it up first) you can then use changelly as per your example to convert your Bitcoin to XRP. keep in mind you may experience lengthy processing delays due to Bitcoin network congestion and high fees. clear as mud? best of luck
