Evercoin->Toast. Am I screwed?

I sent coins just to get a start with my new wallet.  I sent a little over (what I thought would cover fees) the amount needed which is 20 coins to activate the wallet.  What I wasn’t expecting was Coinbase to charge a 50% fee.  It’s never been that high. So I only ended up “receiving” 14, now if I send 6 more will it activate?  Or did I lose the coins and have to send enough to get it to 20 coins and it will activate and all will be there? Don’t want to risk losing anymore money to fees or losing the coin.
