JohnnySECT
This morning I sent ETH from Coinbase through the GateHub Fifth ETH Gateway as a initial deposit into my Ripple wallet (disabled still). Everything looks to have gone through on the Coinbase end but I still have not seen the deposit be received. I have been trying to enable the GateHub Fifth ETH trustline for my wallet but it keeps giving me a "unknown error". Is there any trick to this? I have not "set trust" either and am wondering if my deposit will go through or if I will need to enable the trustline first? Will the deposit still go through after enabling or am I SOL? TYIA!! cwhyte
FWIW, I did almost the exact same thing and I still haven't received my ETH into my wallet. My wallet is active though because I had someone send me 20 Ripple which automatically activates your Ripple wallet. Funny enough, the Ripple showed up within minutes but it is now 8hrs later and I still don't have my ETH. Incredibly frustrating!!! Btw, check the status of your transaction here: https://etherscan.io/ Just input your TxHash from the transaction log on Coinbase. Thanks, Chris

I checked earlier and again & it's showing successful.. Have you been able to enable the trust lines? I still cannot and am worried that b/c I tried to deposit before enabling that the transaction will be lost? Obviously I am new to this and really appreciate the help. My Ripple address is rf3iLvQSpRbtoyuSChmJQNW1PudQyhZLSr I'm still looking to activate!
cwhyte
Misery is being kind. This is brutal. I don't think the crypto community realizes how damaging this can be. When you're talking about people's money, customer service matters! If stuff like this continues to happen then that wave that's coming won't come because most people won't put up with this kind of uncertainty. Sending money to exchanges which are proving to be highly unreliable is going to kill these currencies eventually. This is a perception game and the perception right now is that the people using the technology to run their business are not dependable, imo. I promise you, if I don't get my money out of Gatehub, I'm so stubborn that I'll spend the next year telling people about my bad experience on Gatehub using FB and other platforms just to make sure they pay the price. And, dude, I have exactly 20 ripple in my wallet right now otherwise I'd send you 20 ripple. Not to mention, when thousands of dollars hit my Coinbase account tomorrow, do you think I'm going to send it to Gatehub??? Right now, NFW. I'm in WA, which has strict cryptocurrency laws, so my next exchange to use is Binance. My account is set up...

cwhyte
I don't know what to tell you. There are many of us in the same boat. All I know is that these are valid ETH wallet addresses hosted on Gatehub. The blockchain doesn't lie and companies hosting those wallet addresses have a responsibility to process transactions into them. I would love to start telling people that Gatehub jumped on this and fixed the problem. But right now I'm starting to tell people to stay away from Gatehub. jargoman
All you guys. Figure out your transaction id for your payment, that will make things easier to know where your funds are. If the payment failed contact coinbase. If the payment succeeded then contact the exchange where the funds are so they can credit your account. If you have your transaction number they can verify you made the payment xrp account explorerhttps://bithomp.com/explorer/ https://etherscan.io/ ethereum account explorer Edited December 15, 2017 by jargoman

I have submitted a ticket with the trans hash and hopefully receive a response or the funds are deposited soon..

I know I've sent Gatehub support output from the transaction log from Coinbase and etherscan.io. If you go into my account, which they certainly can since they're support, you can clearly see that the To: address in the blockchain is a valid ETH wallet address assigned to "My Wallet" in my account on Gatehub and it shows the transaction was successful. I've given them everything they need to quickly fix this problem. I get that they're overwhelmed but it takes about 10 secs to respond to my 5 emails so far with "We're working to address your issues. Give us another X hours." This is a no-brainer fix. The blockchain doesn't lie and you can see that the wallet address belongs to me. Simple.

Goozy3
@JohnnySECT so you must fund your account first with the 20 XRP for the deposit of your ETH to go into your XRP account? I'm having an issue myself. Didn't know I needed all this stuff. I thought I was to transfer BTC from Coinbase and I would be able to buy 20 XRP to enable my account.. I'm seeing otherwise with all these threads.
Joeben22
That shows my ripple account is not activated yet. It give me the option to activate it using the "Perfect Money" payment system. I tried to register an account with Perfect Money but there is no option for persons from the USA to register. Is there another method? I feel like I have to open up 10 different accounts just to buy XRP through gatehub.
