greggyz
Good day. As I have read no one recommends keeping XRP on an exchange, which is the reason why I am asking for help. I would like to move my XRP into the safest place possible. Ledger Nano S is the last option, I would really appreciate it if you could help me find the way without having to use Ledger S. Something like myetherwallet in which I totally trust (correct me if I am wrong). As far as I understand no one can access myetherwallet so it gives me peace. I would like something of the sort for my XRP. Thanks a lot everyone Greg
zenkert
I use the Rippex Software Wallet. Safe enough for me. https://cryptorum.com/threads/rippex-guide-for-storing-ripple-xrp.89/ greggyz
greggyz
How is it different safety-wise from gatehub? Thank you.

I would never in my life store anything on Gatehub. I base that opinion on all Gatehub problems posted here in the Forum. I do not trade there either. Never will. That is my Humble opinion If you move XRP from an exchange to your Wallet. You are in control of them. Not the Exchange. Regarding where to trade, in which country are you? niksacatipovic
Hi all, first time poster here. I have small amount of XRP on Gatehub and yesterday I tried to move it to paper wallet but transaction failed, twice. But transaction fee was deducted from my XRP amount, twice. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix that? Thanks in advance and best regards to all from Croatia
greggyz
I am in Thailand, I was wondering if Rippex will allow me to make a file/wallet offline and after I copy it to a safe place ill delete everything including Rippex. Is it possible? Thanks Zenkert! I guess you were right about gatehub, another piece of evidence against Gatehub is this guy from Croatia. Sadly he got into gatehub. Hope all will resolve for him. Peace. Edited December 10, 2017 by greggyz

If you try to move more the transaction will fail. The transaction fee was still deducted as a security measure. If there were no fee then bad actors could spam the ledger with transactions doomed to fail without affecting their own account balance.

greggyz
It is a local Thai exchange, I do not trust anything in Thailand. I bit the bullet and went for rippex.
