tommytrain
Perhaps if snapswap had focus grouped the name change on XRPchat first ... Is it possible to set up private chat groups here? Perhaps with NDAs, as requirement to join, that offer a place for focus feedback like the suggestions in this thread? Maybe for some legal reasons? Greg Kidd still is a Director @Snapswap and, while not much in the picture, still one of the 3 SnapSwap core members. Also @enej of Gatehub mentioned that "we may soon here about Global ID" (in the chatfields I guess). When you link that quote with this tweet https://twitter.com/gregkidd/status/745112684392128513 than one may assume this is the Global ID Enej was referring to. SnapSwap, Ripple & Global ID (and maybe indirectly Gatehub) in some way are linked to Greg ... Greg also kept and keeps on posting tweets about Ripple. Not saying Gloneta will run straight over RCL, but I'm more or less convinced that it is build on Ripple tech... Maybe it is also more logical that they no longer do direct business on the RCL, Gloneta is end-user focussed where Ripple is more 'wholesale' focussed (can't find the correct wording for that)
thinlyspread
Greg Kidd has invested in (and advised, directed, etc) a ton of different tech companies and startups. It's apparently what he does. Obviously even if he left Ripple he'd still have a large XRP interest he'd like to see earn him a fortune. The ID connection is interesting though since as far as I can tell he joined/formed Global ID (Jan 2016) after joining Ripple. Then again, according to his LinkedIn profile he's no longer even at Ripple, though I'm sure that's just a glitch!
