Well we knew this was coming. The thing is, the government or IRS doesn't' officially recognize crypto currencies. I guess when it comes to them getting their pound of flesh, it becomes all too real. There is going to be more crack downs. I can smell it coming

The IRS recognizes them as capital assets.

Yes. Everything's an asset to tax when you're trying to cover a $20 trillion hole. Actually, the banks are far more in debt than $20 T. It's more like 5 Quadrillion in derivatives

Sounds like they’re trying to compete with Tether...

Maybe, I think the Wall St lions are already feeding and manipulation this entire crypto market and Tether is their gateway to free money. Whoever owns that token is an insider(s) who has probably Rothschild funding to take over the entire operation. Forgive me if I sound like a conspiracy theorist, but who cares, that label was invented by the CIA

I honestly thought it will take the Governments atleast 2-3 years to take this step.. This is not good.. Once the U.S does it then it will be Europe

Why is it not good? You and everyone here on this forum are counting on regulation to send xrp to the moon...or has the sentiment changed?

Was never in favour of regulation. That will only make the crypto market smaller & can harm XRP

2013-2015? I'm good lol.

Ha...I wonder why it’s just that 2013-2015 inclusive period?

if $20,000 is the benchmark transaction amount for future document requests that will be a lot more people at 10k bitcoin value.

How? regulation could make the market mainstream and huge.

Especially for hedge funds, MFs, etc. They hate these violent swings in crypto. With these swings, I'm expecting the SEC to come along with some sort of wash-sale and/or 3-day sell settlement regulation eventually.
