crypto2libertas 105
Stellar is certainly winning at the moment. Massive increase in value. I invested in both just in case. Sometime the underdog looks more promising to investors.
manateehunter 1,602
Can anyone tell me what makes stellar special? I have a distrust for Jed so I've avoided that coin just based on that alone. The website doesn't really say anything that separates it from other chains either.
SimpleLife 645
Stellar XLM is inflationary and XRP is deflationary. rootvegetable

It was basically a clone but somehow companies such as IBM and Visa might jump on it. There is a rumour that VISA is playing with it and hence the hike. that is at least my take at it

SimpleLife 645
Just now, vanhalendlrband said: I didnt know that. Interesting Yeah, all things being equal, XRP would be more valuable long term. Though, realistically, XLM and Stellar are not on the same level as XRP and Ripple right now. They might ride Ripple's coattails, and try to adopt Ripple's strategy, but Ripple is already way down the path that Stellar has just started down. Gangus 484
Lots of hype with Steller and Visa ATM. Kind of sucks to see it run like it is. I'm hoping it's a bunch of BS. It does make me wonder though. I think I remember seeing a couple of articles about Visa looking for a blockchain engineer with Ripple and Ethereum experience a while back. Maybe Jed made a deal. Who the hell knows. Regardless, we have some good things in the works. We shall see a solid run here soon.
tulo 3,252
I really don't get it. I think there is a huge manipulation going on. XLM at 10 cents is really crazy. They had the worst distribution strategy ever, fishy. Probably 99% of XLM are held by the company and insiders. Dennis
Dennis 1,307
It’s suspicious indeed. Or just indicative of what happens to a low volume market when traders catch wind of a potential pump/rumor opportunity. Who knows. Smart money is making the move to Ripple and XRP almost daily. Fun to watch the sheep run to and fro. Also smart to spread your stack around. RLP18PharmD
CryptoGerrie 1,806
Also reading the XLM sub on Reddit. My opinion is that Stellar is years behind. Yes they contracted IBM, but IBM has moved more to a consultancy firm, although still known as an good system integrator. The fact that everyone is screaming moon on a tweet that IBM/Stellar are looking for SW engineers I really don't get. For me SW engineers should be at the heart of the company and calling out in public for them, seems like they are frustrating to find the right people. So why are they still up so much. Good marketing, rumours and offcourse the name of the Big Blue. Wouldn't be surprised if the coin is manipulated. I also don't trust the ethics from that guy Jed, who was behind edonkey I remember. On a more positive note, I think there is room for both to have success in this domain.
Guest
XLM dropped now down to .00000704 A big drop off from the .000000900 mark and that was it from then out a fast drop down to where it is now and seems to be holding around there, still on the up but so is XRP XRP is still the better bet for me!!
