Think you know XRP? Win 1000 XRP!

Recommended Posts

After my last disastrous foray into community services (not many people liked the idea and I fell badly foul of Ripple Intellectual Property law, thanks for the warning guys!), I thought I would have another crack.

This time it is pretty simple:

1. Sign up to the website - www.cryptoprizecompetition.com

2. Answer 3 questions correctly - all the questions are XRP related so if you have read the latest hodor articles then you should be fine....

3. Go into the prize draw to win 1000 XRP!

There is a coupon for 1 free entry per activated wallet - enter FREEXRP at the checkout. See terms and conditions for full details.

For those of you worried about phishing and what not then just use a different email address and password to what you normally do. In addition your wallet address is public knowledge so no need to worry about giving these details away as they are available openly!

Now I`m a member of the community trying to make the XRP ecosystem a bit more exciting and fun so please any advice or help is gratefully accepted. Also if you want to say mean things then please ensure they are constructive!

All the best and any questions then just ask.

This seems very odd? Are you claiming everyone will win 200 usd by answering 3 questions correct? I am not clicking that link, even through VPN :D

e: sorry for being pessimistic

Dear god no. Do you want to bankrupt me? You go into the hat to win 1000 XRP. For once it is competition which rewards the more knowledgeable members of the community!

I reviewed the site, if I understand it you allow people to purchase tickets for 10 XRP to enter into a draw for 1000 XRP (with some skill testing questions involved to avoid calling it gambling).

Not my particular cup of tea, but OK. My biggest concern is the harvesting of names and emails and ripple public address- and the ability to link them both. Now I understand that we can create fake names and throw away emails, but maybe do away with the option all together?

I applaud the initiative, but it could use some simplification perhaps and provable randomness in the draw.

Well, well.  The knowledgeableGambler in that should be able to answers at least 17 questions. Otherwise it is just a Lottery.
But what ever good intentions you might have. This will be percieved as soms sort of a SCAM.
Maybe you will get it right next time, if there is a next time.

Thanks useful advice. I need a way of contacting people so I have to keep the email but can definitely remove the name request. The randomness is through a number generator perhaps I could do a facebook live draw but then the question is people's personal details.

Anyway there is a FREEXRP code for those that want to test their knowledge without paying 10  XRP.

A word of advice @RippleGambler- this community is very risk adverse for the most part (or else they would be gambling on the various BTC forks), even simpler stuff like a contest to bet on weekly price predictions have fallen flat (I know- I ran it). Having members enter contact information off forum for a lottery style giveaway will be met with poor reception, and I doubt a 1000 XRP will attract new comers.

Something low effort, KISS and low risk might be more beneficial and likely to succeed

LOL, just what I thougt and said above. A Lottery. Now it is confirmed. You have to pay 10 XRP to be able to win 1 000 XRP.
So if 200 pour ******** enter the competition and reweal valuable imprortant information.
Break even is 100 contestants.

@RippleGambler has not lost anything. In fact he has gained 1 000 XRP and a lot of valuable information.

:wizard: and :wizard: and :wizard:

Shout down this thread I say, or just remove the Link in the Original Post and keep it for Educational Purposes.

I reviewed the site as well sounds to me a (Nick Name is sufficient enough with XRP Recieve address ) avoid putting e-mail address (SPAM)!

Michael Huggins as this is behind the site registered !

How would I contact someone without their email address? It's a fine balance to walk between making it work and protecting people's privacy.
