Morgan
I'd have hopped on that train 2 hours ago if only I'd had an account on an exchange that sold XLM... Too bad I guess!

Why is it that a trial run with Stella, causing over 100% gains? Hasn't Ripple announced a number of trial runs over the year? Thank god I am in the crypto world to see such gains in a couple hours! Once you've had a taste of such gains, it becomes addictive... you try to find the next "ripple", "pivx", "to da moon coin", etc. KyleButler

No, I was talking about NZ in the first para. Its easy to forget about Australia, believe me. Dumbest people on earth. Ya know when a Kiwi moves there, the average IQ of both countries goes up. Too bad I guess! Yeah, that's kind of a problem. I figured I'd go ahead at throw $500 at it, but Poloniex and Bittrex looked like my only options. Poloniex doesn't allow deposits before verification, so that's days away. Bittrex failed with a public records verification, so I went for an enhanced verification. That failed, and my account got stuck in a loop that tells me to refresh, but refreshing just took me back to the page saying to refresh. I saw this pump happening all the way from the initial 25% gain, but I was a bit too slow to catch most of it. Being unwilling to sell any of my XRP, I ended up doing a credit card purchase of Litecoin on Coinbase, then transferring that over to Bittrex. What a pain for so little profit. That profit is going to be stuck on Bittrex too, because any withdrawal will need verification.

I wanted to drop a few hundred dollars on it, and I was trying to open an account on Coinspot, and I went away for 20 minutes to get a photo, only to come back and i got an email saying it had been rejected because i hadn't submitted the photo yet. I was then left wondering, had I waited to do everything at once, maybe id have been verified so soon?

True, but the underbanked outnumber the banked, so they will be an emerging untapped market in the coming years and the easiest way to reach them is via mobile, so mobile-only banking just makes sense. I completely agree that mobile banking is the future. I also staunchly believe that national digital currencies will be the norm within a 5-year horizon. Stellar Lumens, however, will not be a major part of that equation... This is purely pump, and we're going to see the corresponding dump soon. I highly recommend reading the second-last paragraph of this article: http://fortune.com/2017/10/16/ibm-blockchain-stellar/ KyleButler, ade and enrique11 2
huslin
This is kind of disappointing for Ripple in my opinion. They scored a company named Cuallix which no one has even heard of and never considered IBM to be a potential candidate. With this happening, Stellar lumens will gain a strong vote of confidence from other tech giants. Now I pray to God that we hear Airbnb integrating Ripple and XRP into their system on swell or something as big as this otherwise we are looking at a huge dump. I read the last paragraph, but rushed through it, as it is late here... And need to get back to sleep.. Don't see how stellar will become mostly irrelevant in the future, but I'll look into the details of the article when I get more time.

Things are so unpredictable in this space... Even though I had great returns on some cryptos, I still pretend like all of them can still fail entirely. so I force myself to diversify and try to keep up with as many other cryptos as possible for possible new developments that could eventually render many of these cryptos useless, antiquated, obsolete. Etc. Edited October 16, 2017 by enrique11

Just look at the names here: IBM, New Zealand and Australia and they also have a low market cap which means its value could be a lot more than XRP CubanMiner
