Withdrawing from Gatehub

Hi all,

I currently have my XRP holdings in Gatehub. I am looking for the quickest and most affordable way to withdraw the XRP's from my Gatehub wallet, and convert the XRP's to USD.

The way I have done it in the past is by using shapeshift.io to convert the XRP's into Bitcoin - which are then sent to coinbase. Then from coinbase, convert the bitcoins into USD. Is this the best way to withdraw funds?

Thank you in advance for helping out a noob!

Depends where you are based. From gatehub you can directly send a payment to the bank using XRP. It will convert the XRP agains USD.gatehub and then send those USD to your bank. Check the fees for withdrawal and compare with the fees of coinbase + shapeshift.

I've withdrawn several times directly from Gatehub to my bank account. You pay GH U$15 per withdrawal, plus whatever fees your bank charges. The whole process, from making the withdrawal to the money showing up in your bank account, should take about 6-7 days.

Thanks for the information! Would I use the "International wire withdrawal (USD)" option as seen at the link below to withdraw to my bank account?

Are you sure $15? Because on gatehub they say 0.1% capped at 130$.

Yup. $15, no matter how much you transfer.

That's what i use, but I'm in Latin America. You might want to check with someone based in the US.

Yes. A couple points to remember- you need your banks SWIFT/ BIC number. North America banks don't usually show these- you may have to ask specifically for it.

The banks name is the name of your full bank (Bank of America for example), but the address is the branch that your account is at.
