thecrash1991
Yes, I was near to buy ledger nano s , but when the download of the Ripple software failed the same way, I have take the decision not to buy ledger nano s , because for storage is enough to create a new Ripple address that was never in online website, and send all the ripple in the new address , and store it in a secure place new address and the key. I can't send ripple out, I can only receive, but I think that is a good storage solution, because need to sell only when ripple is about 100 usd value for a coin ( yes, 100 USD value for a coin ! ) , is totally unnecessary now to have a software wallet when you have only to purchase ripple and store it. If I need to check out the balance there are the accounts explorer by ripple company and others. This a necessary good wisdom , because of the horror stories I'm reading here and helsewhere. I will lose 50 ripple left in the online account and other 50 for activation, but better than lose everything I think.100 usd per coin? Lol, no dude

It may be too late in your case but just for anyone else reading.... you need to know that simply sending XRP to the address is maybe not enough. Imagine 5 years down the track when your XRP are now worth a heap and you want to sell some. So you go to your bank and type the Secret Key into the appropriate field on their website but it says 'INVALID KEY'. You only really know if the key works if you actually use it at least once to sign and transfer funds out. It actually has happened to a couple of people here that the key that was generated did not actually match the public address. It was because they were using a Apple Safari browser which had a bug in their BigNumber library. But other software may have similar issues (its not likely but it is possible). Just a word of warning... the links and resources tab has lots of information about options.

Are you asking the person that you refered to as childish when discussing this earlier? Well I am a bit... But to answer... Yes you certainly can import into the Ledger... I don't know the details because I don't have one but I'm sure the doco will discuss it. Perhaps someone with a Ledger who has done it might advise you. Nope I was wrong.... As soon as I said the word 'certainly' alarm bells rang.... I thought I recalled a friend saying he just imported his existing wallet but it looks like you set up the Nano then use the paper wallet QR code to send into the Ledger wallet. That doesn't sound quite right to me, so your best bet is to read all the doco or get someone who has done it before to advise. I'm sorry but I can't help at all on this I'm afraid. If all else fails you could import the secret key of the paper wallet into Gatehub then send your XRP to the Nano. A bit of mucking around and maybe ID verification if you're not already on Gatehub.
