Every once in a while, it's good for crypto investors to take stock of their investments and where they're at in terms of liquidity and adoption. Today is that day, and I'm taking a look at the same numbers that we discussed just three months ago. Headlines: Liquidity is massive. The number of wallets doubled. To find out more, you'll have to read for yourself! It is probably not the most popular thing to talk about, but what if something bad would happen to you? Lately I have been working on a set of paper notebooks to make sure I’ll leave things behind properly for the people close to me. I have a dozen of different coins, some on my Ledger Nano S, some on coin specific offline wallets and even some small amounts on exchanges So it is quite complex to leave behind some understandable notes that will help recovering my investment. Luckily I have some friends that know their way in the crypto world and have a Nano S themselves so that will hopefully help. Anyhow, I’m wondering if you guys have thought about this and what you have arranged so far?

I am usually very hands on and very careful but it has come to my attention that I created a wallet and forgot about it. I cant seem to find its secret anywhere but When I watch it I can see that I accessed it after creating it and I even sent XRP from it.. Its a cold wallet. Last access seems to be Dec 2014. Those were the days of ripple trade and I didnt migrate this particular wallet. It has atleast over 600 XRP that I would like to redeem. I thought I had migrated all my wallets but not this one. I however seem to have its login info. Is there anything that can be done or is it a lost cause?

Sorry, not directly Ripple related: Has there been any talk about wallets/clients using OCR? Perhaps to protect against malware/keyloggers? Keep the secret key out of a database/file/clipboard. Or would this just transfer the same problem to a new domain?

Hi, I have a handful of years of experience trading stocks and options and am being compelled to dabble in the cryptocurrency market. I realize there are pathways such as gbtc to rather easily and safely invest in the CC market, however, it seems to fail to grip XRP. I believe in the XRP has a huge upside potential, perhaps to $50 within 2018 and who knows, this crazy market could see it skyrocket past that number. As a newbie in this market though, I am confronted with some new challenges such as exchanges and wallets.... Consensus picks would have one believe coinbase is a standard exchange to begin with but they would appear to be fixated on the big 3. Suggesstions? Inputs? on a solid, relatively friendly, secure, and low fee exchange as well as wallet? Thanks in Advance

Are there any reputable wallets on the horizon/in development? I'm being very whiny, hoping for an easy to use local wallet with a shiny gui. I know paper wallets for cold storage makes sense, but given the state of most of my desk papers, it probably isnt the best choice for me Wondered if those who know more than I are aware of any products. THx

Hi All, I have a modest (for me) amount of zerps. I've done some research on wallets, including getting a very detailed response on here a while back from a more technically proficient hodler than me. It was about having an old computer, wiping, and using Linux to re-install this or that and basically use it as cold storage. To be honest I couldn't follow it. That guy was also dismissive of the Toast wallet. I got a new iPhone recently and still have my old one. I'm wondering if using my old iPhone with toast is a good idea? It seems much more secure than using Toast on my actual phone as I won't be in danger of losing it. What do people think? Are there security issues I'm not thinking of? Cheers

Hi Guys, I have been into Ripple for few years but I am "Dinosaur" from technology point of view so need help with following questions, if you know the answers, any help would be greatly appreciated. how safe are cold wallets, and can one be sure of safety and security of cold wallets ( no offence to developer) as developer would know all the loopholes and may have access to security key, same issue with ledger s nano..? if your cold wallet stops working out of the blue, and the person managing it disappears, whats gonna happen to the funds..?

Hey there, Can anyone tell me if when I withdraw my XRP from my exchange to my hardware wallet. Do I have to deposit them back on the same exchange, or is it possible to deposit them on another exchange? My concern being if something happens to the exchange itself. Thanks

I put together a short collection of video tutorials for how to create a Ripple wallet, login, fund it, buy/sell, and send to other addresses. Will add more regarding issuing your own tokens etc later. Goal is to show how easy it can be without using any command lines or programming. I even threw in a short segment on creating a cold wallet, even though it's practically the same thing. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHAK7FXoElZOyM6MaQ_O_i6ATap2k9r-o

Hi Guys. Do you think that with increasing price of xrp there is increased risk of accounts being hacked, specially when the account balances can be seen through bithomp. I understand that there are options available of putting them in cold wallets, but not many of us are geek enough to understand that or may be scared that they will lose it if computer breaks, or any other reasons. I think all of us have money in the bank account and never lose sleep about security because we know there is increased level of security in case of money in bank accounts so I am really looking forward to a bank starting Xrp wallet with the same level of security as bank accounts. Please let me know what you think..

I think it's about time a professional Wallet for XRP to be build, which could be both secure and trusted! From what I understand the only fairly good option out there is the Gatehub Wallet, but a lot of people are complaining from it with this watch only wallet issue! Back then I haven't heard anybody complaining from RippleTrade! For most of the people just finding out about Ripple, the Desktop Wallets are out of the question, because they are not develepod and maintained by some big company and at the end its about trust! (No offence to the people who developed these Desktop wallets) I am really excited about the BitGo Enterprise Wallet for XRP being build! Are the any updates and a launch date, I really hope its comming soon! All the Ripplers out there, please share your thoughts and your opinion and let them know there is a High Demand for professional Enterprise Wallet for XRP !

Having noticed the good news coming from xrp lately, I've decided to re invest. I was in at the start but lost the faith.... now im back in at $1= ~130xrp. I think it would be a good long term investment? I have put a few here and there and like the look of GateHub, but am wary because they are so new and maybe prone to a break in? Any ideas guys? ATB
