  1. Hello everyone, Is it possible to transfer big money($1Million+) with ripple? How? how much is the transfer fee? what is needed to transfer(an company etc.) How do I convert my money to ripple(without payments or very low fees) how do I convert my money in usd(without payments 1%+ fees) is it possible to send money from a country to b country with around 1%-3% fees(of course with taxes) thanks in advance i love you
  2. Hi All, I have been following the blog for a while and I am both a long term hodler (if that's a word) and i also do some day trading on ripple and some other altcoins. I really like the technology and what the people are doing here and in fact i am trying to utilise it for my business where possible. I am currently facing an issue with a supplier who i have worked it for only a short period of time and i need to transfer a substantial amount of money. I have exhausted the solutions offered by banks in order to secure the transfer but at 2% of the value per month the Letter of Credit charges are horrible. Given that the supplier also happens to have an XRP wallet is there a method to carry out the alternative in a cheaper but safe way - say he does not get the funds unless a certain condition is met? I have read that something on these lines is possible however I am not sure where best to read the full procedure for doing this Thanks for your help in advance and all the best on this project
  3. Hello fellow hodlers For some the day is near, others need/want to wait, but ultimately some of us will sell our zerps and convert back to fiat. I want to collect some thoughts on this process. The only regulated exchange I know is Bitstamp and apparently they are OK, but I haven't transferred to them amounts beyond five-figure. I've never transferred fiat back from them to my bank either. I understand that nobody with a sane mind will post here and say: "Sure it works, I transferred back and forth a couple of millions of EUR already", but I hope we can share some insights. I know some of the old time hodlers here have become very rich 7-9 figure rich, that is. So, how do you plan on handling the issue? Technically, Bitstamp, and any other fiat accepting exchange are pure exchanges, matching my sell order with buy orders, so they should HAVE my cash, and not just on paper, but in their accounts, since somebody (multiple people) will have bought my XRP. I'm more concerned with the exchanges playing funny games and stuff. I consider this a very serious topic and I don't want any FUDsters posting market cap nonsense. I will cash out $ millions one day and so please stay away if you have nothing practical and applicable to contribute. How will you people handle this? Also: Bitstamp told me they'll ask fore "additional info", should they need to make a large payment. When I asked what kind of info, they refused to tell me. Has anybody been subject to their additional due diligence yet? Thank you.
  4. Sorry if this is repeating a question already asked but it is something I still do not fully understand. What will drive the increase in value of XRP? And specifically .. why would mass adoption help the price. In theory you could have 90% of global financial institutions using XRP to transfer funds across the globe which would be great for ripple. But if none of these institutions actually hold XRP for more than a few seconds, then why would this decrease supply and therefor increase demand? My guess is that it will simply be by association... that becoming such a standard coin it will give it validity and exposure which will drive up price. Or is there some mechanism I have not understood by which institutions will buy up XRP ? I have held zerps since ripple started business btw and still hold a lot today. Thanks
  5. I have been speaking with my eToro account manager and he has confirmed that eToro are working on a wallet to store the coins (we probably all knew that), but he also told me you would be able to to transfer the coins out into your own personal wallet. He said he isn't able to comment further on functionality or fees, but he does it expect it to be rolled out in the first half of this year. So within the next 3 months hopefully.
  6. Hello. I have my ripple address stored in my Ripple Desktop Wallet. The Ripple Desktop Wallet is going to be discontinued soon and I want to move my ripples (or the address and codes, however the hell it works) to a toast wallet. I am wondering if anyone can assist me with this? I do not want to setup a new wallet in toast as I don't want to burn another 20 XRP in the reserve. I want to just associate my current address to Toast. Is this possible? How do I do this exactly? I am not sure if I am correct or not but I understand that the ripples are not held in my wallets but rather the keys to my ripples, am I correct? If this is the case than I would assume that I can just simply house my keys in a different wallet and not pay another reserve and set up a brand new address? Thanks
  7. Dear Fellow Ripplers and Crypto Experts, Can someone please help me by providing DETAILED step-by-step advice on the following?: 1.) What is the SAFEST way to transfer XRP from a Paper Wallet (Cold Storage) to Ledger Nano S WITHOUT EXPOSING my private key/s on the internet? This is my goal. 2.) Am I able to transfer XRP directly from the paper wallet (cold storage) to the Ledger Nano S OR will I be required to transfer the XRP to an intermediary desktop wallet first (such as RIPPEX or TOAST) and then transfer XRP from the intermediary wallet (such as RIPPEX or TOAST) to Ledger Nano S? FYI: I am not interested in using a hosted wallet such as Gatehub. 3.) Assuming that I need to transfer to an intermediary desktop wallet first (such as Rippex or Toast), is there a way to accomplish this WITHOUT EXPOSING my private key/s on the internet? If so, how? 4.) When transferring XRP from a paper wallet to a desktop wallet (such as Rippex or Toast), will my original paper wallet keys (public and private) stay the same or will the desktop wallet provide new keys? Also, when transferring XRP from a desktop wallet (such as Rippex or Toast) to the Ledger Nano S, will my keys (public and private) change again or will they remain the same? I searched online and the tutorials but could not find exactly what I'm looking for. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

  9. Hi! Can someone please help me with my query? I am not being able to transfer any xrp out of my desktop wallet it says Payment failed. I have tried to send it to Binance and also to my Ledger but it says the same thing. It worked earlier but has stopped working from 1/09/17. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. Would anyone know how to speed up a ETH transfer from coinbase to gatehub? I transferred 3 days ago I think. It's not showing up on gatehub even though etherscan says the transfer is complete. I wanted to buy xrp with the ETH but I am now in limbo. My xrp wallet already had more than 30xrp. My emails to support isn't getting any response either. Any help would be appreciated.
  11. Ok so it has been 7 days now since I tried to create an account with rippex. I have the rippex wallet downloaded with my xrp safely stored... But what's with the actual rippex site verification process?? I haven't even received a confirmation email stating I signed up. Anyone else?
  12. Excuse me for being very new to this. The question I'm about to ask I'm sure is discussed in here somewhere but I couldn't find an answer. Anyhow, about 7 hours ago I transferred ETH from my Jaxx wallet to my Gatehub primary wallet using the ETH deposit address. The ETH still has not arrived. It confirms that it was sent from my Jaxx wallet. Am I missing something? Any help and/or additional advise is highly appreciated. Thank you!
  13. I sent some ripple to my desktop wallet and the transactions went through very quickly. The "available" balance is significantly less than what is stored there. Why? There has been over 200 xrp in this wallet for weeks now, yet the available balance is lower than that! HALP *edit* wow the desktop wallet screenshot matches the exact color scheme of the forums. Nice!
  14. Hi, I was wondering if its possible to directly transfer XRP from one Bitstamp account to another (and i don't mean between sub accounts, i mean 2 seperate accounts) Thank you
  15. So, I bought some BTC on another site and wanted to invest some of that in Ripple. So, I heard Gatehub was a good place to do so. I created a Gatehub account, and transferred some BTC to the Hosted wallet. However, whether I want to transfer that amount from that wallet to my Ripple wallet, or transfer that BTC back to another BTC wallet, it tells me I have an "Insufficient Balance for Transaction." How do I utilize or transfer this currency that I have deposited to the hosted wallet? Am I just an idiot? What am I missing? Any help would be much appreciated!
  16. My understanding of XRP is not the targeting of the fee - but the instant settlement, which i see as a huge value for banks and in term puts Ripple in a great place However I am concerned that many are now saying how they cannot wait for free / or extremely cheap cross border payments etc......is this really going to happen in the foreseeable future? I for one cannot see banks eradicating these fees as simply they subsidize their operations / generate profit despite what the actual cost might be (as is the same for most service providers, overheads etc.) Ripple themselves have been very coy in avoiding to raise the point of reducing customer fees.....but have said banks could receive the cost savings for their transactions (this would make it an even more profitable service! and a BIG selling point) In the current and foreseeable system, essentially if Fiat is the end game, we are saying fees would still be in place for FX trades (cross currency) and bank processing charges, however the Ripple ledger reduces part of the fees in the process as 'Ripple lowers your bank's back-office costs through an efficient mechanism to process and settle international payments'. (Ripple website quote) only in case where two banks were exchanging XRP would result in the fee's being all but eradicated and that would only be for the banks using and they have no obligation to pass these on to us customers. So basically, even if banks used the ledger we would be hit with bank charges in any case as they are our intermediary between the ledger. That's not to say some new entity will try to replace banks in this system but that appears to be a long way away (assuming how much banks will try to disrupt and delay). I'd like to end by clarifying this is not a negative post for Ripple, I am glad that Ripple have taken this stance in their marketing and sales as it avoids completely alienating their customers (banks) by saying one service they provide and charge for can be done for a near zero cost (with XRP) Oh yeah and don' forget the one benefit out of this for us mere banking customers instant settlement!
  17. I'm handling an issue for a friend trying to enter the market through Gatehub... The issue was caused by her banker not filling the REFERENCE mandatory field DESPITE having been warned about not forgetting it (her banker had a trainee operate the transfer). The ticket 54361 has been opened on september the 22th and first answer from support on the 29th. The issue description in the ticket is wrongfully specified ("missing BIC SWIFT code" instead of "missing reference field") If anybody could look into it, I'd be really grateful to bring any more needed information about the issue.
  18. So this is something i just noticed, it may have nothing to do with Ripple but just thought i would point it out. I have been using PayPal for years, normally when you have a balance you only have 1 way to transfer it and that is to your checking/savings account. This normally takes a few days to clear and go through. I just went to transfer my balance to my checking account and saw a new option (new to me). It allowed me to transfer the money directly to my debit card attached to my checking account. It went through instantly. I logged in to my bank account a few mins later and there it was...cleared. Do you guys think this has anything to do with Ripple or is this completely different?
  19. Hi all What do you think, will we be able to send our XRP holdings to our bank account (or a xrp sub account) one day, say in 4-6 years, assuming adoption is there? That would be nice, no? We wouldn't have to go through exchanges when we make the big cashout. (OK, origin of funds would have to be proved, but that's doable). Any thoughts?
  20. Question: How come everybody is thinking an equivalent of XRP $-worth is needed to transfer the same amount of $? I think it's not 100% sure one needs 1$ of XRP's to send 1$ with Ripplenet. It might be the case that banks only need a fraction of the amount they want to send. So only 0,0003$ XRP's to transfer (let's say) $ 3000,000,- Any evidence I'm wrong?
  21. https://medium.com/backchannel/bill-gates-on-mobile-banking-connecting-the-world-and-ai-937f35c8a110 Also Hi everyone! First Post!
  22. Real world usage... www.livebitcoinnews.com/bbva-completes-first-cross-border-transfer-using-ripple-technology/ The world must be getting really excited about ripple now don't they... But nothing really happened ?
  23. OK, a little peeved by this. I'm trying to send my Gatehub XRP balance to an offline address, however it keeps reporting that I have insufficient funds to do the transfer. Not only that, but the mere attempt to send the balance has cost me some XRP. Assume I have 520 XRP. I tried to send 500 XRP (I'm guessing I have to leave the 20 XRP starting balance there.) Gatehub attempts to send then complains about insufficient balance. Do I then have to also deduct the tranfer fee? Seriously, would it be that hard to let me know what the max amount is that I can transfer, rather than me blindly trying to figure out what is acceptable and what isn't?
  24. Hi guys, I have done a transfer from my Revolut account in Euros to my Gatehub account using the bank transfer option. In the past, I followed the exact same process twice and everything worked, received the money in my gatehub account within 3 days. This time, it has been 5 days and the euros did not arrive (as a note I did a fast transfer for which I paid 6 euros, and the expected arrival date of the funds was the 23rd of May). Gatehub support does not answer me, as always, ridiculous service btw, and I am not sure how to solve the problem as I am 500 euros down. Anyone knows how can I solve this? Thanks!
  25. Hi guys, I have been trying to transfer my XRP balance from my Gatehub wallet to my Bitstamp wallet however, every time I try doing that (using the option "make a payment") I get an error saying insufficient balance, no matter what amount I enter. I am obviously not trying to transfer more than what I have, and have tried contacting Gatehub's support multiple times with no answer so far hence, reaching out to the community to see if I can get some help. Thanks!
