  1. Morning all, I am holding a small amount of XRP using the TrustWallet app. When setting the wallet up you are provided 12 words as your recovery back-up. I am not techy in the slightest so any explanation/help given here will need to be basic please. I understand about keeping these words safe, not online, sharing with no one etc. But it occurred to me if TrustWallet suddenly ceased to exist, can these 12 words be actually used to access my funds or are they app specific and irrelevant elsewhere - and if so, how? I read a recent blog by @TiffanyHayden which explained it well for me to understand but the secret key she used in the example wasnt a list of words is was a long sequence beginning with an 's'. Any explanation and advice greatly appreciated.

  4. Hi, I am trying to log into https://www.theworldexchange.net using the account address and secret key from my ripple account that I set up through Gatehub and it returns me an error saying that the address and the secret key do not match. I double checked the keys and I'm not making any mistakes. What's the problem? Is it possible that Gatehub is not generating the correct secret key? Thanks for some feedback ! I'm kind of freaking out because I have a lot of XRP on my wallet.
  5. 월렛 문제 1. 내 지갑에서 XRP 623,919.988을 찾고 싶습니다. 2. 지갑 주소 : rBLVg3dwZTSUxsPstY6dZppiKFQWwEPXaD 3. 전자 메일 : geumsong2@gmail.com 4. 이름 : Ham Hyun Sik 5. HP : 010-2861-9357 Please tell me more about how I can find my secret key. I beg you. Guys.
  6. Trawling through reddit seems like I'm not the first to experience problems with this wallet. I've transferred enough XRP into my desktop wallet to be worried about getting a solution. FIRST PROBLEM: I can access the read only wallet with my ripple address and see my balance there absolutely fine but I cannot log back into my account. I haven't been able to since I first logged out as it hasn't created a local wallet file on my Mac (or at least I can't find one, and I've searched everywhere...multiple times). This means I can't log in with my wallet + password combo. That would be fine as I have my secret key... BUT SECOND PROBLEM When I go to create a new account on my ripple desktop wallet with my secret key, I can't click on the 'Create new account' button (screenshot attached). It's like I'm locked out for some reason. This is 100% the correct secret key, it was copied to a text file, photographed and written down. It's right but for some reason I can't log back into my account. I've opened a ticket with Rippex but as of yet nothing. Has anyone got any suggestions because I cannot understand why I can't get in with my secret key?
  7. I have an encrypted wallet on my laptop that I need access to. Long story short I create the wallet and had everything (secret, key, password) on a Notepad in Windows 7. My computer crashed before I had the chance to save or print the Notepad doc. I still have the encrypted secret key and my wallet address, but just need some help with the password (it was a 17 character alphanumerical password). Anyone know of any good password crackers or some other decrypting techniques? Any help would be greatly appreciated
  8. Hey all, I have an account on Gatehub. I went through the migration process from RippleTrade but didn't recall receiving a recovery key when I created the account. I'm able to access my "secret key" from my Gatehub wallet but I'm assuming this isn't the same as a recovery key since they said it's a 32 character string (my secret key is 29). Anyways, do you guys know how I can access my recovery key? Thanks in advance
  9. im trying to migrate my balance from my old ripple account but the system does not recognize it (i did not do any early migration) , i have my old user , password and my secret key. i tried on Gatehub but my user is not recognized , i invest in the very early days of ripple and would be sad for me to loose the money i have put in. please help. how can i recover my xrp with only my secret key
  10. Before migrating to Gatehub I would like to verify my understanding of the following points. Can you please confirm/correct? 1. My funds in the RCL are linked to my secret key. After RT has closed I can always access my funds in the future by using my secret key in another wallet/gateway 2. My public key in RT is also linked to my funds. If I send XRP to my public key (even after RT has closed) it wil be added to my funds in the RCL 3. For any gateway/wallet to work they will have to have access to my secret key. This means that for example Gatehub, although they seem trustworthy, could theoretically pull a MtGox. So the question is, do I trust Gatehub like I trust RT? If my reasoning above is correct I am thinking for the time being of only migrating one of my RT wallets to Gatehub to see how I like it and leave the bulk of my XRP 'dormant' in the RCL.
