Watch your investments closely over the next weeks, because a lot of projects will be outed as pure scams. The rats are beginning to leave the ships. The Verge one might be legitimately trying to get funds for marketing, but it does sound really fishy.
Good day Cryptomaniacs! We all love our XRP dearly - and can't wait for Miguel's Dawn. https://twitter.com/hashtag/xrpthestandard?src=hash In the mean time... apart from the Zerpbox and the brilliant posts put up daily by our resident gurus. I think it's safe to assume that we're all looking for the next big thing(whether we'd like to admit it or not)- henceforth aka "NBT" . So we have seen Eth shoot up like a bat outa hell since December, and for many investors the fact that it's breached the "dollar parity" value fairly quickly, has had us scrambling around for the NBT, Altcoins aside - I figure Ethereum has something good going for it AND Ethereum-based platforms may just be the new flavour of the month. Lemme briefly intro the three I came across so far: SIngular DTV: https://singulardtv.com/ - From cryptocompare.com- https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/guides/what-is-singular-dtv/ 1) ["SingularDTV (S-DTV) is a content production and distribution platform built on Ethereum. The goal is not only to create and broadcast quality film and tv content but also to reshape the entertainment industry into a more fair, efficient and transparent business thanks to blockchain and smart contract technology. How it works Singular-DTV is a Centrally Organized Distributed Entity (CODE). CODE is a new form of organizational structure developed in partnership with MME, the same legal firm behind the formation of the Ethereum foundation. The CODE is a distributed entity as it is crowd funded and the equity is shared between token holders that receive dividends from the profit generated by the platform, but it is centrally managed, meaning that token holders do not take part in the decision-making and development of the platform. The decentralized component of this governance model lives on the Ethereum blockchain as a tokenized Smart Contract System. These tokens are called SNGLS and they represent a share in Intellectual Property (IP) of S-DTV: film, television and software projects. The centralized component can be represented by a number of different company structures, which are in charge of managing S-DTV's funds, projects, and development."] My 2 cents.. Nothing really - I'm still tryn to figure out how to use Netflix... 2) Xaurum: http://www.xaurum.org/ ["Xaurum is unit of value on the golden blockchain, it represents an increasing amount of gold and can be exchanged for it by melting. Xaurum Golden Blockchain is a transparent ledger of accounts that accounts for the distribution of gold owned by the Xaurum CommonWealth, to provide an increasing base to Xaurum value. The CommonWealth is maintained by Auresco Institute physically and Ethereum network digitally." ] My 2 cents... A crypto backed by Gold(which in theory can never hit zero value) using the ethereum blockchain - sounds good- REALLLLLY GOOD!, but is it too good to be true.. A sneak peak at their Twitter handle had them in Dubai meeting some Arab Sheiks titled:" @XaurumOfficial Hint: what is good for sheiks is good for you. Annual Investment Meeting #dubai. #xaurum" Seems they were running on Blackcoin till they got hacked - a price drop happened...quite beeeg, then they switched over to Ethereum....and lived happily ever after??? - Not quite, Well who knows... a look at their 24 hr trade vol on Coingecko - has them trading at just under $40k a day - With arab sheiks on board - and only $40k daily trade volume..Really? #skeptical Lastly - 3) Ark (coin) Extract from- Martin Obaid -Bitsify - full link: http://bitsify.net/html/articles/arc-coin-bringing-the-blockchain-to-people.html [The Big Problem - How do we make Crypto Coins a mainstream currency everyone uses? It’s a topic that has always been a dilemma for me, would it even be possible to get cryptocurrencies like bitcoin to be used in places like shopping centres, car dealers, restaurants, etc? It’s just too hard for some age groups to get used too, so chances are they will never be adopted by the general public, but now there’s a solution, and it’s a damn good one! It’s called ARK Coin. “So what’s so special about ARK Coin?”“ARK provides users with innovative use cases through the development and integration of technologies that power the blockchain universe. Highly flexible and adaptable, ARK is a secure platform designed for mass adoption and will deliver the services that consumers want.” Two Words: SmartBridge Technology What is SmartBridge Technology?Well, to put it into simple terms SmartBridge Technology allows the linking of different blockchains through the method of bridging. That alone is one hell of an advancement.] My 2 cents...Hmmmm, Hmmmmm,Has potential - I dug around a little and, well... If you have had a long day at work..the following is a ripper/worth a good chuckle.. I can't put into a few words what one wordpress writer wrote, so without further ado..I'l leave it for ARK Slack who posted(A MUST READ!!): https://poloniexapi.wordpress.com/arkfail/ #chin song #cannabis # forum thread with screenshots attached As always, your views my fellow cryptomaniacs?...Layerz
