    Paypal to crypto

Can someone please tell me if there's a way to buy crypto (preferably XRP!) by transferring from PayPal, without getting a bank involved? Seems like Coinbase either removed the option or made it unavailable for my country. Thank you in advance
  2. Ripple continues to build the Internet of value (IOV) and recently heralded new highways to liquidity within XRP. I discuss this progress - along with fascinating other news - in today's blog! Hope you enjoy; please leave any feedback below. Also, feel free to share my blog with anybody and on any platform - and thank you in advance for doing so! 4. I have got a brain wave. What if Ripple can replace VISA/MasterCard/Amex as the next payment gateway. And the 100+ partner banks can issue cards powered by the ripple net using the Xrapid to facilitate payments for point of sale. Online payments in the future. Banks and FI’s will only need to provide new debit cards and credit cards powered by Ripple and settle payments instantly on the ripple net which is not limited with borders or currency conversion limitations. With the added advantage of instant settlement. Is it possible ripple can eat into the existing infrastructure of visa/MasterCard. Also is it possible ripple might become the new gold standard. Technically this is all possible provided the banks can have enough faith on the ripple net when compared to the visa/MasterCard channels. What are your thoughts. And is ripple looking into doing this in the near future. Also payments thru ripple can also use Codius to convert transaction into smart installments considering approved limits on individual credit scores.

  6. Hello all, Has anyone used coinpayments for anything? If so what? I'm not sure what the use is because I haven't seen that many xrp related sites that sell anything so wondered what was out there. If you have used it then anyone know why it takes 30 mins to settle xrp rather than 30 seconds? Thanks.
  7. Browsing through the agenda of the comming days, all big payment players seem to be there (Apple, Alipay, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, etc.) as also several supportive partners that passed on this forum before. I saw an interpretation on twitter connecting Stellar to Paypal because of this agenda, but that seems a too easy / pump conclusion as they are (actualy 2x) indeed together in a timeslot, but together with other participants in a paneldiscussion and presentation queue. But still, I can imagine that statements might influence the markets. Any thoughts? I don't see Rippe there.. but as too much expectations did not work out the last time, maybe this time the exact opposite 😉? https://files.money2020.com/public/jAVEIl5/xOZcTGNvex.pdf?_ga=2.13394359.1460367270.1508609453-904291530.1498331769
  8. So this is something i just noticed, it may have nothing to do with Ripple but just thought i would point it out. I have been using PayPal for years, normally when you have a balance you only have 1 way to transfer it and that is to your checking/savings account. This normally takes a few days to clear and go through. I just went to transfer my balance to my checking account and saw a new option (new to me). It allowed me to transfer the money directly to my debit card attached to my checking account. It went through instantly. I logged in to my bank account a few mins later and there it was...cleared. Do you guys think this has anything to do with Ripple or is this completely different?
  9. In my latest blog post, I discuss micropayments, and how I believe that Ripple and XRP can be a perfect back-end processor for these low-value transactions. I originally posted a similar topic in the spring of 2017; I use a couple of the same sources, but I've since updated it with some current factoids and examples. Hope you enjoy the read! Leave any feedback below, and please feel free to share on other media. My announcements on other media: Twitter Reddit Bitcointalk - alt coin sub forum Bitcointalk - XRP speculation thread

  11. I understand micropayments now. At least, I thnkI understand. What is a Micropayment? The term "micropayments" is usually the term traditionally given to monetization of very samll transactions - under $12 - for content provided over the internet. One example is Blendle, a media startup that lets you pay a few cents for the privilege of reading their news articles online (source: https://www.wired.com/2016/03/pay-25-cents-read-article-blendle-certainly-thinks/ ) So Who Processes These Things Now? PayPal Micropayments is a platform that's been around for a few years, and it builds off of the usage by Ebay vendors for small transactions. The fee structure is built on the concept of giving a vendor the ability to pay the processing fee based MORE on a percentage of the sale price rather than the flat processing fee. Instead of the usual 3.4% + 20 cents, you’ll pay 5% + 5 cents. Basically a higher percentage but lower fixed cost. (source: https://www.thebalance.com/increase-profits-with-paypal-micropayments-1140571 ) XRP Advantage Now compare that to the processing fee of processing a micropayment through the RCL using XRP payment channels. The current fee is listed as 10 drops, or .00001 XRP. If we use a value of 30 cents as an example, that's a transaction cost of $.000003. Now, that's the network fee for using XRP transactions. Any actual service provider of an online wallet may also layer other charges to cover costs associated with processing transactions and providing other services such as returns, insurance, and other items, but you can see clearly that PayPal is about to face some competition in this market. Speed Another issue that micropayments platforms have typically had is the ability to scale for increased usage. Did I mention that XRP Payment channels were fast? The XRP Ledger using payment channels can scale to handle over 50,000 transactions per second. (source: https://ripple.com/files/xrp_overview.pdf ) The first FI to integrate using XRP Payment Channels is going to have a substantial advantage when it comes to mircopayments. Or maybe PayPal might see the light and choose to contact Ripple?

    PAYPAL to XRP?

Can i exchange my 5USD from my paypal account to XRP? I've tried virwox but the minimum is 20USD. Where can i exchange my 5USD?
  13. After reading this, I've never been more sure that XRP is currently undervalued. First take a look at this new article ... https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/trading/cryptocurrency-prices-explode-bitcoin-1600-ethereum-100/ So there you have it. Simply put, the market capitalization of one existing fintech company is more than the entire market capitalization of all crypto-currencies - including Bitcoin - combined.... The one take-away that is absolutely bankable IMO is that crypto-currency is still in its infancy in terms of investment, and all crypto holders should not be surprised for consistent and very dramatic updrafts in price. I know these price increases are sudden, but when I look at numbers like these, I reach the conclusion that the market is just "catching up" to where the value should be. Now, layer on top of that that a lot of prudent investors will want to invest in a crypto-currency which is dependable, has sound use cases, and integrates with the existing banking system as well as new fintech start-ups. The best candidate is indisputably XRP. And it's got a long way to go.

  15. Would be great if @gatehub could somehow get Coinbase to establish a Ripple account with a trustline. There are too many steps involved with trying to turn US fiat into XRP. https://blog.coinbase.com/2016/06/22/coinbase-adds-support-for-paypal-and-credit-cards/
