"In this post, we present our framework for valuing these assets, which we’ve used to build our portfolio." Found an interesting blog post from crypto hedgefund Metastable. It dates back to October of 2016 but I think it gives great insight into how a hedgefund selects currencies to include in their portfolios. I believe Metastable is a company that is tailored for high-end clientele. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that in order to even open an account with them you must have a minimum of $1,000,000 of investable assets. Furthermore, while reading their evaluation criteria it seems as though XRP checks many of their boxes. I wouldn't be surprised if XRP is on their radar. Have a look and tell me what you all think! Forgive me if this has been brought up in the past. http://metastablecapital.com/cryptoasset-analysis/
wiredless1 posted a topic in Alt-Coins and General FintechBy the end of the year, CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) announced yesterday that it will introduce Bitcoin Futures contracts to their customers. CME Group handles more than $1 Quadrillion worth of trading volumes per year. The fact that they will now introduce these contracts implies an FI legitimacy of regulatory oversight to crypto assets. This introduction will also boost the liquidity of the whole (?) crypto market by opening the market to many more interested players. In my opinion, the players include the good, the bad and the ugly: FI's legacy modeling may now begin to impact how markets move to a much greater degree. When do you think this will spin out to benefit XRP?
I think XRP is about to hit some mainstream adoption numbers. I talk about what this might look like in terms of volume, as well as the reasons driving this change. It's kind of a continuation from the previous blog entry; I extrapolate some volume numbers from South Korea and then discuss other topics that should be leading to "imminent" mainstream adoption for crypto - and for XRP!
