  2. Hello everyone, Due to the overwhelming amount of XRP FUD out there, I decided to create a subreddit dedicated to it. You are all welcome to contribute: https://www.reddit.com/r/xrpfud/ Feel free to discuss bad journalism and general XRP FUD there.
  3. If you're like me, you like your FUD grilled. mmmmmm Seriously though, I've seen too many people getting wrongfully ridiculed for voicing their apprehensions, uncertainty, or doubts about XRP, Ripple, or the crypto market in general. And there's countless more that avoid voicing their less than maximalist opinions just so they won't get labeled as FUD. Or are scared to ask simple questions for the same reason. (this happens more on Twitter, Facebook, Telegram, etc than it does here, but I still see it here often enough that I felt the need to post something) While FUD stands for Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt, it's really about intention. Real FUD is misleading, filled with misinformation, or downright lies. Real FUD is the intention to CREATE fear, uncertainty, and doubt. When someone is looking for clarification, they're not trying to deceive anyone. Quite the opposite, they're looking for truth. When someone has legitimate fears and doubts about their investments, they're actually being a smart investor. We own XRP, which makes us investors. Professional investors remain skeptical and look for reasons to doubt their current investment strategy. (so they can change/improve it) Having a little fear, uncertainty, and doubt helps us maintain a healthy, realistic perspective and will help us avoid making bad investment decisions. So, not everything negative is FUD. Not every question about Ripple and why they do what they do is FUD. This can be a difficult distinction to make. So before labeling something as FUD, ask yourself, what was the author's intention? Are they genuinely asking a valid question, or is this just FUD? I hope this post reaches its intended audience and helps foster tolerance for all things non-FUD. Or maybe you're a person who's thought twice about posting something because of how people would misunderstand it. Well, don't! Get out there and confidently ask your questions and voice your opinions. Just remember to clarify and state clearly your intentions. And if anyone gives you a hard time, you can tell them to "Eat My FUD!" with a link to this post so they can educate themselves. Ironically, this might be something worth adding to the XRP FUD Bingo. https://fudbingo.com/ hahaha So in conclusion, there's really 3 different definitions of FUD: 1. The literal acronym Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. (which are things we should strive to maintain for a balanced perspective) 2. Misleading or false statements used with the intention to create and spread fear, uncertainty, and doubt. (which we should immediately label/report as FUD and ignore) 3. And FUD, the popular brand of processed meats here in México. The turkey dogs (salchichas de pavo) are the best! Remember to share this the next time you get labeled as a FUDster!
  4. I have just read on twitter about fudbingo.com which is a good initiative for fighting against the FUDs and I've never met this page before. Please like if you like it and retweet if you want it to get bigger publicity. https://twitter.com/WietseWind/status/997445248140836865
  5. Laura Shin’s much anticipated podcast about Ripple and XRP has been released. Hodl on to your hats ladies and gentlemen. You’re about to get angry. She starts off by trying to explain what happened between her and Ripple representatives when trying to book guests. In her uniquely exasperated tone, she declared, “I only interview CEO’s!” She didn’t want Joel Katz to join the interview, and when he publicly called her out on Twitter, she spat hot fire: “Nobody tells me who the guests are on MY podcast!” I know I’m a biased XRP banana dance moon boy, but man did she sound like a ****** off princess. The rest of the interview was an endless FUD barrage. I wish Joel Katz was there to put these guys in their place. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/unchained-big-ideas-from-worlds-blockchain-cryptocurrency/id1123922160?mt=2#episodeGuid=240f500a9c53f13c4820d16b1c937d43

    Why are FUDs harmful?

I realized many of you guys are fighting against FUDs. I see the short term disadvantages of spreading FUDs, but why do you think if they are harmful in long term? Would it be possible to fail Ripple dream merely due to FUDs? I mean eventually Ripple technology and XRP will be used by financial experts who do not care about FUDs, but utility of technology.
  7. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/another-day-another-50-million-205554590.html I hate these stories. But, it's things like this that show you that crypto is still pre dot com burst. We need to get some kind of regulation that shuts down scammers, and results in the crypto space consolidating into the legit tokens with real businesses. The sooner we do that then the sooner XRP becomes the next AMZ.
  8. So how many new members of this site get called out everyday for posting their true and real feelings about XRP? They look at your Rep and instantly call FUD!!! just because you might post something that could be conceived to be negative? Well guess what? i'm tired of it and you should be to they only have a large rep because they've been here longer and post 100 times a day. I'd like to hear from all you fellow Disrespected newbies out there. Post your grievances here and feel free to call out the perpetrators.
  9. As a long time follower of this forum I have read my fair share of FUD; whether it be from fanboys or ignorants the sentiment usually comes right down to "The banks don't need XRP" , "Bankers S**tcoin" and "It's not a 'true' Cyrptocurrency" Now some of the notions I can agree with in part (xCurrent can operate without XRP, Ripple as a business is targeted at the Banking sector so perhaps it is a "bankers" coin and as has recently been addressed, XRP is viewed in many fashions but probably as a Cryptocurrency the least. With this in mind, is anyone else finding it somewhat ironic at the number of stories arising about other so called "Cryptocurrencies" targeting the banking sector and somehow successfully avoiding the FUD? Whilst us Ripplers are still being targeted... Whether the rest of the market is finally realising the error of their neurotic ways ("Bring down the system") or are simply trying to emulate Ripple's Roadmap it is now even more clear to me and other Holders that we made the right choice... #XRPtheStandard

  11. So i read an article linked on here a few days ago. The article was called something like " ripple price MAsSACRE will googles new ban mark the end for xrp." It went on about how xrp would soon die as "ripple will no longer be able to be mined". Not sure it was entirely my doing but i sent a strongly worded email to the express and suggested they research before publishing. The article was pulled and i got this reponse :
  12. This may seem corny. But I am such a fan of how the great XRP fud fighters just crush haters and naysayers that I want dedicate a page on zerplife.com to XRP FUD Fighters. For example one of favorites on twitter is Dr. T @xrptrump. Can you all PLEASE help identify/tag some of your favorites regardless to what platform they are on. Screenshot your favorite posts, whatever. I'd really appreciate.
  13. Let's hope this becomes a problem for us. I was thinking (dreaming) about the numbers and doing the math and thinking about what would truly represent a life changing payout. For some it might be $100,000 for others $100,000,000 is not enough. If you hold only a few thousand zerps, like a lot of people I should think, then do you think you can HODL pas the 1, 2,3 hundred thousand mark on the way to 1m or will temptation/FUD strike? I for one am not sure, never having been in that position. I think I can hang on until $500,000 but beyond that I'm into uncharted territory. As said, lets hope it becomes a problem.
  14. Every time a new Ripple partnership emerges where xCurrent is said to be the solution adopted, many people repeat the same mantra: "Oh it's just xCurrent. This is bad news for XRP". NO IT IS NOT BAD NEWS. Could financial institutions and other organizations simply use xCurrent forever without xRapid? Yes, of course they could. Will they want to avoid xRapid and XRP? Why the hell would they? If you do not know the difference between xCurrent and xRapid and how the latter could very likely complement the former, then why are you invested in XRP? Are you simply gambling? If so, the casino is a better bet. DO YOUR RESEARCH, and THEN come to your own conclusion. Stop repeating the same thing over and over again, as you will scare many investors away by spreading such uncertainty. Learn to read and think critically before you type up a new post or comment on others' posts.
  15. Coinbase was down for Maint last night right before this big decline. Then everyone with trading "volume" over 20K was emailed a notice during this outage from CB partner Track1099.com saying my 1099K is ready and to see it I concent to have it E-Filed directly to IRS. On Coinbase, I'm lucky if I've every traded 2-5K USD max when BTC was around 6000 USD. ***FYI... I now use BITSTAMP and only have been trading and proud to be maintaining about 3600 ZERPS since I left CB. I think this is scaring a lot of people!!!!!!!
  16. FUD. That's all it is folks. HODL the line and do not sell your coins. This is just another shakeout by the big guys so they can buy your cheap coins. DO NOT SELL. Once the ******** FUD clears and Korea hops back on board full force we are golden. Do not forget. Fundamentals have not changed. Partnerships have not changed. Everything that caused this downturn is caused by fake news (and all turned out to be bs) from all over including the SK gov who were caught insider trading after releasing false news about crypto bans. See through the ******** and HODL. Blame Korea, blame china, blame whoever created all this fear, uncertainty and doubt. That what this BS is designed todo and it works well. The market will recover. HODL and we will be rich.
  17. Did you... ...FOMO buy at the top and desperately want to FUD out? ...wish you'd bought ETH instead? ...have to ask for a refund on your lambo deposit? Then this thread is for you!!!!! Are these symptoms familiar? - incorrigible desire to troll hodlers - hate that Ripple won't give you a participation trophy - break out in a nervous sweat when XRP price falls - long for community with like-minded decentralised, mining magnates also in their Mum's basement ...you might be a FUDster!!!! And this thread is also for you!! Remember, 8/10 Fudsters recommend Bitcoin. (now **** off here and stop clogging up The Zerpening)

    XRP FUD Box

Since it's becoming the norm to make up reasons why Ripple will fail/burn/choke/fall off a cliff, I thought it'd be fun to take it a bit further and make up our own FUD. This is purely satire and not meant to be taken seriously(But if it does and gets picked up by mainstream media then it'll show how inept they really are). So I'll start: "Xrp will fail because my grandma doesn't understand cross border payments or anything other than writing a check. If senior citizens can't use Ripple easily then the next best thing is Litecoin because it's not heavy so my grandma can pick it up easily." - Guy on the zerp board

  20. Sensing a bottoming of the market, I tried making a purchase on Coinbase with my Capital One card this afternoon and my purchase was cancelled because Capital One rejected the purchase. I had literally made 3 purchases just last week with the same card and paid off the purchases instantly so I knew the card was good. I called Capital One to see if my account had been locked out and they told me that they were no longer allowing purchases of crypto currency on their cards because they did not consider it a legally accepted and/or legitimate form of investment (or something to that effect). Has anybody else experienced this or is it just me? I doubt that it's just me since I make multiple payments every month and carry a zero (or near zero) balance. I'm curious is if it's just Capital One or are other cards not allowing crypto purchases.
  21. Another extraordinary year is gone.. rich of Fud but terrific growth too. Now, in a Buy & Hodling mood, I want to call you to vote for the Best 2017 FUDBuster. And the winner is...(Who?)
  22. Hi my dear fellow Ripplers, I am a XRP investor since January 2017. Greatly believing in the company and his future. Besides that i have invested in Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, Gulden, Kin coin. I am also a ETH and Zcash miner, owning several rigs and Bitcoin cloudmining contracts at Genesis and Hashflare, On top of that i am the owner of a very active Facebook group on crypto, where we try to inform and educatie people in the crypto realm. I do this pure for the love of crypto. I helped many friends and family investing safely into crypto, and most of them made quite a nice profit on it. I do this without any charge. I will never write negative about other coins or blockchain network without any valid arguments. Lately i become frustrated about the constantly incoming negative articles and postings about Ripple and XRP. It becomes such a great thread at the moment that the price of Ripple is slowly going down due to this. Last week a big Dutch financial magazine wrote an article that makes me very angry >> http://www.quotenet.nl/Nieuws/Ripple-is-een-val-trap-er-niet-in!-209149 >> Translation >> Ripple >> Its a trap, don't fall in. I was furious!! I wrote an chat via Facebook to the writer. I was not mild. I asked him did you contact Ripple and asked questions? No he did not! He wrote exactly the same nonsense as the New York Times journalist did. A ******** story without adversarial. But, i was very furious because this magazine is the biggest one in The Netherlands on financial information. I did invite the journalist to my closed Facebook group and one hour later he joined. So thats a positive side on this story. But lately, i got frustrated about all this. Ripple is a very legit company who has a very good idea on savings costs on international money transactions. The are very professional and build it step by step. XRP its next to Ethereum the only digital token / cryptocurrency which has a real business with real companies and institutions. Why is there so much negativity against it? Why are people spending so much time on negative thoughts. We have 1350 cryptocoins in the market and a lot of them are there without any real idea or just to make money for there founders. Look at the TEZOS disaster >> https://www.coindesk.com/new-class-action-suit-filed-tezos-founders/ 232 million dollar in jeopardy. And i can name more of that. So i like to say to all Ripple Nay sayers and Ripple Fudsters. Fight against scam and protect everybody who invested in cryptocoins. Stop spreading FUD on Ripple and other coins because you hurt people with it. Use your knowledge to educatie people with valid information. When more people come in to invest the better for every one. Thank you and feel free if you have thoughts on my posting (forgive my English, i am not a native English speaker) greets D
