Hello XRP community, I am new to the community and the reason I am here is to request some data of Ripple for my master thesis related to the cross-border payments. Firstly, I need the data of cross-border transaction of Ripple, so far I am not succeeding in getting it. I can only find the graph of daily Ripple transaction on XRPchart, however the data for the graph is also missing. Secondly, Ripple charges 0.000012 XRP for transaction. That is the only fee it charges, and what would be the case for bridge currency of EUR-USD. How Ripple defines the exchange rate. It would be great if you can let me know where I can access to it. Thank you so much for your attention!

Hi - I'm new to Crypto and I'm using Coinbase to buy Bitcoin. I'm then sending it to my Gatehub wallet and then exchanging for XRP. I noticed that during this exchange the fee was 20%. WOW. Is there a better/cheaper option? Is it better to buy XRP with other Crypto such as ETH or LTC? Any help/feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Many of us have strong arguments for the various price projections in our mind, but does anyone truly understand the effect that Fee Voting could have on the XRP market? https://ripple.com/build/fee-voting/ The purpose of Fee Voting is to keep from spamming the network, but what effect could this have on the scarcity of XRP over time? I find it hard to believe that Ripple would be in the habit of lowering their asset value.

Brad Garlinghouse usually is super focussed on the settlement function of XRP as its primary use case... ?

I noticed a small fee for deposits made to a poloniex account. the amounts are 0.15 XRP roughly - same as their withdrawal fee. there isn't supposed to be a deposit fee as far as I understand, the address has already been setup with the initial 20 XRP. Anyone experienced something similar? I've opened a ticket, but considering how slow their response has been to larger issues going on with their exchange, I doubt I'll hear back from them anytime soon.

This blog entry from SaveOnSend discusses the 'big picture' of money transfer, including the perceptions and actions of retail bank customers in the C2C remittance space, the importance of money transfer relative to other sources of bank revenue, and the potential scope for innovation by MTOs / fintech disruptors. Observing the difference in transaction fees for transferring BTC vs XRP from Trex exchange to my Ledger nano. I transferred almost 67k XRP and the friggin Tx fee was only 5.00000000 XRP ($0.90 USD fee at the time of the transfer). I was like WTF am I seeing things? buahahahaha. I can’t wait for my next XRP purchases before Swell.

Is it possible to setup a Gateway with IOU fees based on time? Example, the fee of The IOU is 1% per year. If the IOU is owned for 6 months then sold, the fee would .5%. This would be the case on calculating the fee on days too. Every time the IOU is sold, the fee would be the total time owned. Would this be within the Transfer fee and the transaction time stamp of each IOU coin when it is sold?

I didn't think we'd be having to ask about this so soon, but due to the recent price increases, I think Ripple should look at lowering the activation fee. What say you? The original thread has kind of faded, but if the mods want to re-combine & reboot it, that's fine with me... https://www.xrpchat.com/topic/4125-proposal-validators-should-decrease-wallet-activation-fee/#comment-39977
