  1. Hi guys! 😘 I'm not home, I am at my parents now for a short break. This is my tribute to the most important woman of my life! 😍 https://bit.ly/Coil-MyMother-60th-B-Day Hope you like it!
  2. “This is an announcement for passengers on flight 232 to Dubai. The flight has been delayed due to bad weather conditions. The flight crew has arrived at the gate, but the ground crew is still de-icing the wings of the aircraft. Our new departure time is 11:50 PM……” ‘Wow! That’s a solid 4 hour delay’, I thought. And as expected, I could see a lot frustrated faces around me. True, nobody is a fan of unexpected delays and of course, ‘late’ is not an option in the corporate world I am in and neither in any ‘world’ we live in today. Right from my childhood, people I look up to have instilled the importance of ‘keeping time’ in me. Most important among them is my dear mom. Mom, the pillar of my strength! I am on my way to meet her and now I have to spend 4 more hours at JFK airport. I needed to kill the time. It has been a long time since I have written to her. Last time I wrote her a mail was back in 2001; my first year in college where we had one telephone for the entire hostel block and was open only for 2 hours per day. So I thought, ‘Why not?’ and I took out my laptop and began typing an email to my mom. “Hi mom, Hope you are feeling better than the last time we had a chat. I hope the doctors are taking good care of you and dad is around to make sure the doctors are doing their job well. I know he will, given his medical military background. He does not need an excuse to use that anywhere. I miss you mom and you have not asked me to come even when your health was failing. I have seen the strength in you to handle the situations on your own. That is what that has always pushed me to follow my dreams no matter. Remember we used to drive to grandma’s village? Even when I was too small, you made me sit near the taxi window because you knew how much I loved to stare and admire the beautiful buildings we pass on the way. You knew I was always fascinated by monuments and I felt very lucky to have born in a country which have hundreds of those, which stands through time, undeterred and majestic in its own right and each one tells a remarkable story. Mom, the bridges in particular were my favorite and they have always been a part of all my big and life altering moments. I remember the day the bridge collapsed when grandma was sick and dad was not able to take her to the hospital on the other side of the village. You took care of her every single minute, day-in and day-out while consoling dad. You did not sleep or eat. Yet you always smiled when you saw me. I saw the pain you went through when we lost grandma after a week and all I could say was ‘I will build a strong bridge’ to see you happy. You just smiled and said ‘You surely will’. On that day I learnt two things: compassion and strength. That day gave me focus to achieve what I promised to you. When it came to career choice I always wanted to be pursue architecture. But dad like most other parents, wanted me to pursue computer science. All my reasoning feel on deaf ears as I had to go to Cambridge for my studies. I felt abandoned as no one was there to support me on this until I overheard you trying to convince dad on my behalf. Dad being a man of few words, I still remember the words he said ‘He is my son, he will excel in whatever he does’. After that I did not have to argue more. On that day I witnessed two things: Attitude and Confidence. I proposed to M on the Golden gate bridge. After a fun stroll up the hill, we saw the magnificent bridge. Light fog in the distance rolled over the hills. We took selfies, we took pictures for another couple, and we took in the view and then… I spontaneously got down on one knee. She thought I was joking, of course, since it was clearly a premature proposal for the 3 year plan. And she thought I was in the way of someone trying to take pictures of the bridge! Despite her protests, I followed through with ‘Dear M, apart from the beautiful bridge and the gorgeous you, I don’t see anything beautiful around.’ Stretching out my hand with the wild flower I picked up on our stroll ‘I think these are beautiful too. Can I be part of your life as well?’ and her answer was ‘OF COURSE!’ On that day I experienced two things: Love and Commitment. Mom, life has given me so much that I realized I need to give something back. That is why I quit my old job and joined the current company to create a difference. I have been successful so far! ‘Mom, I have built The Bridge!’ The bridge that will know no boundaries, which will span continents and empires, will runs through cities, connect families and touch every life around the world. Where money and value can move around as fast, secure, inexpensive, and globally as possible. It will help in building the infrastructure necessary to connect market makers, financial institutions to create a vast network of liquidity thereby creating new opportunities for revenue and saving huge amounts of money in the process. People around the world will be able to transfer money to their loved ones instantly and to those who are in need; when they need it. Mom, I am happy and blessed that I am one of the architects to have created this amazing catalyst to be able to transfer the money instantly for your treatment when it was needed so bad. ‘My bridge’ made it possible. XRP made it possible. It has started to change the world around us. It has certainly has changed mine! XRP has shown me two things: Empathy and Power. “Good evening passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 232 to Dubai. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding…” Mom, I am ready to board the Dubai flight. See you in another 20 hours. I have lots to tell you about my bridge. Meet you soon. Love, J!
  3. A short question for all the XRP-Chat Alumni... Is there an obvious way to track the growth of members on this forum? I am on Reddit Ripple and I have seen phenomenal growth in the amount of subscribers to that particular Reddit and I was wondering if such a feature existed to track the user growth on XRP Chat 'The Largest Unofficial Ripple Forum' I would be intrigued to see how the numbers grew recently following our Bullish Festive Period! #XRPtheStandard
  4. It is probably not the most popular thing to talk about, but what if something bad would happen to you? Lately I have been working on a set of paper notebooks to make sure I’ll leave things behind properly for the people close to me. I have a dozen of different coins, some on my Ledger Nano S, some on coin specific offline wallets and even some small amounts on exchanges So it is quite complex to leave behind some understandable notes that will help recovering my investment. Luckily I have some friends that know their way in the crypto world and have a Nano S themselves so that will hopefully help. Anyhow, I’m wondering if you guys have thought about this and what you have arranged so far?
