  1. Hello! Im back, and its been a long time since i post. Ok lets go to the latest update. JCB, a participant of japanese credit card consortium lead by SBI Holdings expands in europe (Credit Europe Bank) for ATM acceptance. https://ibsintelligence.com/ibs-journal/ibs-news/credit-europe-bank-signs-deal-jcb-atm-card-acceptance/
  2. Is paying a premium worth using your credit card? For me the question depends on my liquidity. Sometimes I get caught in a crash like most of us HODL's do and have no more availability to access extra funds. If extra funds were accessed by a credit card that would possibly be the difference of having a better Cross-Dollar Average on my cost per coin... Wish I knew Ripple (XRP) could be purchased with a credit card back when it bottomed out last time. Ripple is here to stay and probably the only coin I would use that debt for.
  3. Time to vent again. Today I got verified with Bitstamp. Yay! They accept credit cards to buy xrp from us customers! Yay! Credit card company charges 3% foreign transaction fee, Bitstamp charges flat 5% fee. Booo! Started this whole process a month ago when xrp was a quarter. 2500 would have gotten me 10000 xrp. Now I get 1250. still haven’t got a wallet yet because I don’t know what the hell im doing. Too chicken to leave the xrp on Bitstamp . I’m too cheap to let 8 percent get flushed down the toilet but if I use coinbase(been verified) to buy bitcoin using my bank it takes a week from what I’ve read and then xrp will be 10.00. I’m just getting mad about being so far behind. Any suggestions/help on what to do would be greatly appreciated!
  4. After 4-5 weeks of waiting to get verified, I'm finally in! I had planned on buying btc on coinbase and transferring to bitstamp and then change from btc to xrp. Now I see bitstamp accepts u.s. credit cards and they have to be 3d secure. I called visa to make sure and I'm good. I tried to purchase 1000xrp but bitstamp says the card issuer wouldn't process the payment. I did this while I was on the phone with visa and they approved it after seeing it on their end. Ive tried multiple times to purchase but get the same results. I'm using the same amount of usd every time because visa approved that amount. Anyone else have this problem or have suggestions? I have emailed bitstamp support but I know it could be days/weeks before I get a reply.
  5. How to I buy ripple with credit card is there any trusted website
  6. When i first started looking into XRP i came across Coinbase. I used it for a while and for Direct Credit/Debit card transactions it was the only one i could find that didnt require me to jump through hoops. So i used it.. Then i found out today that Changelly actually has a similar feature to let you buy XRP directly with your debit card. but the numbers seemed way off so i decided to look at the math and see the yield % for some simple methods of buying XRP. Hopefully this can save some new people some money. (At the time of this post the price of XRP is $0.221 XRP/USD... Given that figure. $500 dollars of ripple would be worth 2262.44 Ripple Coins.) Changelly A $500 purchase using Changelly with a Credit/Debit card will net you 1,512.62 XRP. XRP Loss = 749.82 XRP. Total Fee = $165 USD Total Yield = 66% Coinbase A $500 purchase using a Credit/Debit card on Coinbase will net you 2,034.77 XRP. (500 dollars worth of litecoin = 6.17 LTC transferred out of Coinbase to Changelly) XRP Loss = 227.67 XRP Total Fee = $50 USD Total Yield = 89% When Transferred to Kraken instead of Changelly Transferring the 6.17 LTC to Kraken and converting it to Bitcoin will net you 0.10622 XBT. Transferring the BTC to XRP will net you with 2167.75 XRP XRP Loss = 94.69 Total Fee = $21 USD Total Yield = 96% The biggest fee here is the $19.18 from Coinbase's Credit/Debit Card fee. This fee is a lot less if you use USD deposit from your bank account but i dont recommend doing this on Coinbase because the process takes 5 to 8 days. Needless to say... Using Changelly for a credit card transaction or really probably any transaction is just wasting your money. This information may be fairly obvious to some of you but it wasnt to me when i first started and maybe this can save some people some money and net them some more RIPPLE
  7. Just found this about Revolut, a big English credit card provider, who is planning to add virtual currencies. They talk of Litecoin, Ethereum and bitcoin. https://cointelegraph.com/news/payment-provider-revolut-raises-66-mln-adds-bitcoin-other-crypto-next-week Let's all write them, to get them to add XRP also! They have a huge user base.
  8. Could Ripple eventually cut Mastercard and Visa out of the consumer-merchant purchasing process (assume Joe bought a hat from Amazon using his credit card)? Currently, Mastercard and Visa facilitate payment, they dont extend credit (the bank does). If both the bank and the merchant are using the Ripple Network, why would they need Mastercard/Visa anymore? What am I missing? Thanks
