The crypto community must be prepared for this type of situation more frequently in 2018 and beyond. Every time a governmental minister, congressman, king, queen, whatever, issues a statement about regulation or ban it is a GUARANTEED panic sell situation. Because most crypto investors are unsophisticated they fail to see that this is often a chance for government insiders to buy on the cheap. This type of **** has been going on in the stock market forever just in a slightly different way. Some reasonable, intelligent, "expert" writes a hit piece on XYZ stock and the stock craters. Later, if the fix is in, there is compelling evidence to show that expert A may have gotten ahead of his/her skis. What we idiots fail to realize is that it was a set-up from the beginning. I have friends in South Korea and they honestly think that this type of manipulation is at least a strong possibility here. Those ministers have seen the effect of previous big government talk of intervention/regulation. This is not to say governments don't have the ability to f-up the whole space, they do. But why do it if you can profit from it? Greed is the underlying principle here. Don't take your eye off the ball.

Hi all, I'm having a big issue with Rippex the XRP software wallet, It creates a corrupted wallet 1 times on 3 on my computer when using my microsoft OneDrive/Boxcryptor folder and the problem is that I trusted this wallet and already transferred XRP to it and now I can't login to it... I think if someone could help me debug it (Javascript/C++) and echo/print what happens to the password when it is written to the wallet file then I could reproduce this bug to my actual password and finally decrypt my wallet file and get back my XRP, what do you think? Of course I would pay for this job. PS : I did not write down the secret key, I was in full trust for Rippex like I trusted Exodus or Nano Ledger S.

EDIT: I made assumptions, so I corrected them. (Correction) Okay, from what I have read and heard, it would seem that POLO is currently working against XRP's rise. They don't want people to spread news about XRP in the trollbox so they ban anyone who says anything in favor of XRP, but they will allow other people to spread FUD AND misinformation without banning them. I have witnessed this, and others have taken screen-shots to back it up. (Assumption) Either they are heavily invested in BTC and ETH (because, lets face it, when they go on a tear we don't see anything "strange" happening) or they are screwing people over when the price goes up, selling from their own wallet and effectively cutting off any upward momentum while simultaneously lining their pockets. Totally possible, right? (Possible, but the "evidence" doesn't say it is absolutely true.) My question is: if it can be proven that they are manipulating the market to THEIR advantage vs letting it grow, what can be done about it?How can this be proven? Do any of you have input on this particular situation? I guess it could be very difficult to prove, but then even if you did, there is no stopping people from putting their money there.
