I took a few nights to go ahead and build a site with most of Ripple's functionality. It's essentially a 1-page cold-wallet version of RippleTrade. Everything is client-side and nothing stored or processed by any servers other than the Ripple network. https://www.theworldexchange.net/ Hopefully this spurs more interest in people using Ripple as more than just a currency.

Hello, Suppose I want to send money to a friend and I know that he is connected to a certain gateway through a trust line and that I am myself connected to another gateway via a trust line. I was wondering if there would be any benefits from creating a trust line between me and my friend's gateway to send him money? I could only think about the fee of each hop on the path that would become just one hop. Do you have any other ideas? (Considering both cases where we are using different money, and that his gateway offers both of course) Thank you!

Hello, I have the XRP client version 1.4.1 downloaded from 2016 with an unknown amount of XRP (could be in thousands, or hundreds) don’t remember. I have recovered secret keys with several thousand XRP earlier this year and this desktop wallet may hold the largest treasure however for years I haven’t been able to login to the client. The password and username I’m pretty sure I’ve tried every combo and still can’t access the client, it’s online mode and I know I should have got the secret key from it in the past and I might have but I need it unlocked just for peace of mind to make sure there’s not 10,000 XRP on my computer before I throw the computer away. If anyone is willing to help me enter my client V 1.4.1 and succeed they can have 5% of total XRP discovered. Thanks in advance, Email: fxsignalpros@gmail.com

Do the terms of the FinCen fine and subsequent agreement allow Ripple to create and provide a client for the general public to use to access the xrp ledger? I've read the official agreement, and summaries, and commentary, and it's not clear to me whether not Ripple will be able to provide a consumer client at any point in the future. Here is a link to a post that contains links to some of the relevant documents, and some commentary on the matter. The best I can tell is that after certain periods of time Ripple will be reevaluated for their compliance on certain issues outlined in the fine, but it's not clear to me if that reevaluation includes the possibility that certain restrictions on Ripple's behavior could be removed.

Hi Folks, I am experimenting with minimalist ripple client from Git Hub. (BTW, I am not using this on Apple-based browsers/platforms, so I do not have security issues) You can view the client here: https://jatchili.github.io/minimalist-ripple-client/ I do have a question regarding the "Trade" function with the client. How do you make a "Sell" offer?? I am able to make a "Buy" offer on XRP / USD/Bitstamp trading pair by doing this: 100 (Takerpays amount) XRP (Takerpays CUR/Issuer) 20.00 (Takergets amount) USD/rxxxx (Takergets CUR/Issuer) In the above example, this creates a Buy offer for 100 XRP for $20.00 USD/Bitstamp at 0.20 each. I verified this after using Ripple explorer tool. How would I create a "Sell" offer for my 100 XRP to sell for 25.00 USD/Bitstamp at 0.25 each? I have tried different configurations with those 4 fields, but no luck, or maybe I am missing a symbol?? Any help would be great!! Thanks in advance! Rippler123 FYI, here is html code for the portion of the TRADE function of the minimalist online client. <input type="text" class="wide" id="tpamount" placeholder="TakerPays amount" /><br/> <input type="text" class="wide" id="tpcurissuer" placeholder="TakerPays CUR/issuer" /> <button tabindex="-1" class="tilde halfoffset" onclick="pressResolve(this,['tpcurissuer','tgcurissuer'])">~</button><br/> <input type="text" class="wide" id="tgamount" placeholder="TakerGets amount" /><br/> <input type="text" class="wide" id="tgcurissuer" placeholder="TakerGets CUR/issuer" /><br/> <button onclick="pressOffer()" id="offerbutton">submit offer</button>

1. Are all Ripple "clients" essentially wallet providers? I'm guessing no, but I'm wondering what other types of clients there might be https://ripple.com/knowledge_center/wallet-providers/ 2. Are Ripple wallets and other Ripple clients the same as the client field (memo) as explained in the "Exchange Objects" section of the Data API? https://ripple.com/build/data-api-v2/ 3. BitHomp allows one to see the memo (client sometimes) if you hover over the envelope in the upper left of a transaction. If you toggle to "Exchanges" in the transaction column under my account and hover over the envelopes for the two most recent transactions you'll see two different clients listed even though the transactions were between the same two entities (Ripple Trade and BitStamp). Does that mean that one of the two updated their software/client in between the two transactions? https://bithomp.com/explorer/cmbartley 4. Does anyone know which client uses the identifier: rt1.0.11-125-g1d6f391 ? 5. Because the payment transactions recorded on 12/2/2015 seem to be huge: https://bithomp.com/explorer/rfZADqgxkJDkLP6phM5wTXCiPQ2FjxWENh
