For anyone new to crypto who may be lurking, I want to advise you to not buy crypto on eBay. I came across this ad today. There were many other listings like it. When I was just getting into crypto, I’m ashamed to say I was un-savvy enough to buy BTC, ETH, and XRP on eBay. The listings were legit but the prices were astronomical. That’s on me for not researching more. This listing, and the others like it, may be outright theft. It advertises a mining contract- for XRP. Most of us know this does not compute. When I pointed this out, the seller said something in broken English to the effect of “Well but I would mine BTC, trade it for XRP, and give it to you.” I find this very hard to believe. At best, I would pay $32 to get 25 XRP. In addition, this guy is probably breaking the law. There are tons of people out there trying to part you from your hard-earned money. And once the transaction is complete, there is no way to reverse it (that I know of). Reimbursement from your credit card or bank? Ehhh...from my experience in banking- maybe. This is crypto 101 to most of us, but going through the listings, I can see that people are keeping them on their watch list and then buying them. Buy through a reputable exchange. Be careful out there. I’d also like to hear anyone else’s experience buying or selling crypto on eBay. Or maybe there is something I’m missing here that makes this listing perfectly acceptable. I don’t see how but welcome any input.

With so many scam websites online how can you be sure of an honest transaction when purchasing XRP. I have looked at CRYPTOMONSTER, you select the XRP quantity you wish to purchase, are then given a bank account to transfer funds too {These appear to be account details of various individuals} you transfer your funds and then have to trust that your XRP appear in your wallet. What safeguards are there in purchasing not only XRP but any cryptocurrency?

Hi Guys, I'm a newbie here. Honestly I've never bought any crypto currencies but would like to start buying XRP. I've done some research but would be very thankful to any suggestions.. I kinda need to be pointed in the right direction here. Any help and advice is appreciated. Does anyone know if this is a good plan for a first timer? 1.) Create coinbase.com account and buy Bitcoin with USD 2.) Create Poloniex.com account and transfer Bitcoin to poloniex.com account 3.) Begin trading through Poloniex.com account. Or, integrate Coinigy.com with Poloniex.com and trade there.. Again total new guy at this so any help is appreciated.

Obviously those that stuck with this have had a wild ride so far. Crypto is not for the faint of heart. We just went through a big selloff after a huge run up. Right now we are the only big player that hasn't participated in the climb that crypto's have enjoyed the last few weeks --- but the chart if flattening out, the selling is drying up and our time is coming!!!! Also, I would think that a lot of the profits made in Eth/Ethc/Waves etc. will come into XRP as those take a breather and XRP starts to move pushing us even higher. The FOMO is going to be strong!! People will want to buy more at $1 than at .50 - and when it goes higher than that, people will be mortgaging their houses to gamble with the$$$ in XRP. When it happens and this starts to move - Remember what Warren Buffett says "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful". Nothing goes straight up forever. Take your profits, especially if you are gambling with money you can't afford to lose. Will your investment in XRP get you a Lambo, a Mansion and a ton of beautiful women - Maybe. But I guarantee there will be crashes along the way and you can go broke when your great trade turns into a loser. That said - in my opinion - and this is not advice - and think for yourself - I think this is a good entry point. I'm greedy now - I'll start being scared when it's over a $1 and I'll get out when Jim Kramer mentions the run up on his show - which is the kiss of death as far as I'm concerned.

I've just currently set up coinbase bittrex and gatehub per the instructions of one of the users here who helped me he is also fairly new and we have been working together to try to figure this out so I thought I would post this question I am trying to figure out how and if I can convert my US dollars in gatehub to xrp or how do I buy xrp with US dollars so that I can unlock my gate Hub account I would appreciate any help I can get thank you
