So this name, Arrington XRP Capital, got me thinking. In the past we've seen websites and businesses shutdown/rebrand when they've used the XRP/Ripple name in their name to ride Ripples coattails or deliberately fraud people. Since the XRP Ledger and network and open source, can XRP be trademarked and become a brand? What are the standards or guidelines that people can use the XRP/Ripple name in their name? Will Arrington fund get a friendly call from Ripple legal asking them to change their name? On one hand it could be brand infringement, on the other hand, it's a major publicity boost for XRP and vote of confidence in the XRP blockchain technology.
