  4. Hey all, been a while since I looked at my ledger nano s and what not. I tried sending some xrp from my ledger nano s to bitstamp and it kept failing to send. Tried with and without destination tag and cant figure it out, probably something hugely simple I'm forgetting. I am prepping for moon to have my cash out plan in order lol.
  5. Edit: I don't believe Global ID was used, but was discussed. Wanted to clarify that but the title was getting lengthy. Found this video with all sorts of nuggets in it. Thank you @enej! 2:35 - The transaction 10:00 - Enej thinks Ripple will not be used for everyday transactions, but will be utilized primarily for settlement 13:25 - a REAL market maker, albeit a small one. They really do exist! 14:20 - Liquidity "chicken and egg" question 18:10 - MyGlobalID insight. I think I understood why this was such a big deal, but now I really get it. 19:50 - Gatehub investor mentioned. Was it "Greg Kit"? I can't figure it out because @enej encrypted it with his accent 23:25 - Enej humble-bragging about all the awesome stuff they're working on behind the scenes that we aren't aware of. Plenty of other goodies. Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.
  6. Hello fellow hodlers For some the day is near, others need/want to wait, but ultimately some of us will sell our zerps and convert back to fiat. I want to collect some thoughts on this process. The only regulated exchange I know is Bitstamp and apparently they are OK, but I haven't transferred to them amounts beyond five-figure. I've never transferred fiat back from them to my bank either. I understand that nobody with a sane mind will post here and say: "Sure it works, I transferred back and forth a couple of millions of EUR already", but I hope we can share some insights. I know some of the old time hodlers here have become very rich 7-9 figure rich, that is. So, how do you plan on handling the issue? Technically, Bitstamp, and any other fiat accepting exchange are pure exchanges, matching my sell order with buy orders, so they should HAVE my cash, and not just on paper, but in their accounts, since somebody (multiple people) will have bought my XRP. I'm more concerned with the exchanges playing funny games and stuff. I consider this a very serious topic and I don't want any FUDsters posting market cap nonsense. I will cash out $ millions one day and so please stay away if you have nothing practical and applicable to contribute. How will you people handle this? Also: Bitstamp told me they'll ask fore "additional info", should they need to make a large payment. When I asked what kind of info, they refused to tell me. Has anybody been subject to their additional due diligence yet? Thank you.
  7. I will be able to figure it out eventually, but am having some difficulty understand how to transfer from Bitstamp to XRP. Ive read a number of posts here stating the Nano does not have to be hooked up to the internet, yet no one has explained how this is possible. I know I need to download the Chrome extension, set up the Nano, make the 24 word seed, etc etc. But when actually ready to transfer, do I log into Bitstamp first to start the process? Thanks
  8. Exactly 1mil volume each 30 minutes. Could this be someone sourcing liquidity using xRapid?
  9. Thanks in advance for participating
  10. newbie here ... I've been watching XRP for about 6 months and I believe this is the first time that it is coming close to the volume of BTC. On Bitstamp this morning XRP is #2 and #3 which together appears to be more than #1. I'm thinking this is the start of a great trend for XRP. Q: Is this really the first time XRP is giving BTC some competition on an exchange like Bitstamp?

    Bitstamp ??

Hello I am kinda new to ripple xrp, I installed the wallet and have only 65 XRP in it 45 available. I think XRP will come out on top after all the excitement is over,I have tried some other coins and have lost out big (potcoin) But XRP does have a real purpose as I see it. My Questions are.......... about Bitstamp, am I OK using them for everything related to Ripple? ,,Do you think they will still be around after the storm is over? ,,Or what?
  12. Hi, so i already ahve my ledger authenticated and set up with ripple wallet and ledger wallet manager..all good there. I go to bitstamp to transfer i the withdrawal section. All good there...except it shows i have the BALANCE of XRP's correct...but it says i cannot transfer as i have ZERO available. Why would i have a balance but NONE of mine are available to transfer? any ideas are appreciated, no word back from Bitsamp
  13. Having moved since I opened my BITSTAMP account to buy XRP In the middle of the night, I woke up with in a cold sweat. Where is my scannable or 16 digit Bitstamp and authenticator codes. I can't find them anywhere. What happens if I lose my phone. Can someone tell me what to do to get them back or a new code. I invested all my available cash in this project and can't sleep thinking I won't have access to it.
  14. New to Gatehub and Bitstamp. With Gatehub, I have been waiting for a month now and still have the EU and US Bank pending status. How do I resolve this, or is it just a matter of waiting? Obviously a total Noob here and could use some more experienced insight. Been trying to get involved since November last year when things were still relatively calm compared to recently. Gatehub has rsTbPTNPtJH5g4Dw3SJok5LAfXnsRsiZvB as my Ripple address to deposit funds, but I can't without the EU and US Bank verification, correct? With Bitstamp, just the verification process in general has been pending for two months now. I switched to Gatehub in the hopes the process would be a bit quicker. Any insight would be much appreciated.
  15. Huge unusual size in ASK side on Bitstamp right now. I saw this kind of size only with a big demand. Are we waiting some news today?
  16. I helped a friend a bit to do the KYC at Bitstamp. We talked on the phone Saturday 6 jan 2018 while he was doing it. (A total noob to anything crypto and exchanges and so forth) Today it is monday 8 jan 2018. He just messed me with 3 smilies and a Thumps up. His account is verified. And he can start trading. How about that for a change, to all the complaints of how SLOW Bitstamp is? 48 hours it took.
  17. I was looking at xrpcharts.com with my phone and under xrp/usd on bitstamp it showed a drop to $2.40 at 7:10 pm est! I go to my desktop and log into my bitstamp acct and the charts there show nothing of this. Any ideas why this would happen?
  18. Greetings, Quick question: if you've withdrawn USD into a US Bank from Bitstamp, do you know which banks work? I've noticed Compass Bank (Simple) rejects it; also Schwab has a requirement for putting your account number in the FFC section which Bitstamp won't do :/ Thanks!
  19. Hi guys. Just wondering If you could let me help with step by step procedure of connecting bitstamp gateway on gatehub. I have activated my account at gatehub and using gatehub to buy xrp but I have found gatehub gateway is more expensive if you want to buy xrp than bitstamp for example now if I buy in gatehub market in gatehub account price is .005250 for xrp usd how ever in bitstamp market in same gatehub account it shows xrp/usd price =.005089 which can be a huge difference if you are buying and selling quantity. I got balance in my ripple wallet and primary wallet but when I go to bitstamp market it does not show USD balance it only shows XRP balance. Please let me know how to transfer my USD balance to bitstamp so that I can buy XRP from there.
  20. Time to vent again. Today I got verified with Bitstamp. Yay! They accept credit cards to buy xrp from us customers! Yay! Credit card company charges 3% foreign transaction fee, Bitstamp charges flat 5% fee. Booo! Started this whole process a month ago when xrp was a quarter. 2500 would have gotten me 10000 xrp. Now I get 1250. still haven’t got a wallet yet because I don’t know what the hell im doing. Too chicken to leave the xrp on Bitstamp . I’m too cheap to let 8 percent get flushed down the toilet but if I use coinbase(been verified) to buy bitcoin using my bank it takes a week from what I’ve read and then xrp will be 10.00. I’m just getting mad about being so far behind. Any suggestions/help on what to do would be greatly appreciated!
  21. After 4-5 weeks of waiting to get verified, I'm finally in! I had planned on buying btc on coinbase and transferring to bitstamp and then change from btc to xrp. Now I see bitstamp accepts u.s. credit cards and they have to be 3d secure. I called visa to make sure and I'm good. I tried to purchase 1000xrp but bitstamp says the card issuer wouldn't process the payment. I did this while I was on the phone with visa and they approved it after seeing it on their end. Ive tried multiple times to purchase but get the same results. I'm using the same amount of usd every time because visa approved that amount. Anyone else have this problem or have suggestions? I have emailed bitstamp support but I know it could be days/weeks before I get a reply.
  22. Dear Ripple-Community, I was wondering about the required 25 xrp for new wallets/addresses (which are fixed and can not be sold?): In Kraken for example u have to klick generate new address for the xrp´s. Is this Kraken XRP-deposit adress inside of my Kraken-account also going to require these 25 xrp to be activated? 2nd Question: What is the natural and safest way to have a wallet/address in the ripple "network"? By natural I mean kinda like downloading the Ethereum client and generating an address. In ethereum for me it was the client or myetherwallet.co*. I realize there is something similar to that for Ripple but I also know that long time ago there was an original ripple client (which is gone). BR S
  23. I just got verified on Bitstamp today after 4 weeks. I’m already verified on Coinbase. My plan was to purchase bitcoin on coinbase and trade it for xrp on Bitstamp. Now what do I do? I know I need a wallet. I was going to buy a ledger nano s and transfer the xrp to that. I plan on long term not frequent trading. I need a wallet until I get the ledger nano s and not sure what I should do in the meantime. I started the process when xrp was 0.25 and was planning on buying 10000 xrp. Looks like I’m not buying that much now! Does anyone have any ideas on how I should start?
  24. Currently in the Bitstamp app , when you are viewing XRP, on the trade view it shows the axis on the right as Bitcoin values in numbers like 15000, 16000, 17000 etc. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
  25. This is not an add. I have been on Bitstamp about 2 months now. Making SEPA transfers. No worries no what so ever. And then tonight I decided to make a Credit Card deposit buying BTC. Just to try it out, and to speculate in BTC for the first time. And it did panned out like a charm. No worries at all. Great feedback, and after 2 hours I recieved another mail. Just for me to confirm that all had been done, and all was well with my transfer. DEADLY serious they are, Bitstamp. Any one concerned or worried in buying XRP, LTC, BTC or ETH. Bitstamp is the way to go. You are in safe hands there. VERY SAFE! Just whish they would add Komodo (KMD) to their trading platform.
