Hey everyone, I am using toast wallet since 2018, but as they are not in service anymore I want to shift my funds to a better or equally good paper wallet. After some research I found "Bithomp" as the only viable option. Kindly share your thoughts about Bithomp & give me some recommendations (if any). I am not ready to invest into hardware wallet at the moment, hence I am looking for paper wallet recommendations only. After some research, I am quite sure that wallets like "Coinomi, Exodus & Atomic" are not secure like paper wallets. So, they are out of the list already. TIA

Wondering if anyone else had this issue. I was looking up from account balance and the balance was '0'. My heart just stopped for a second. Then I scrambled to get find another explorer and ended up using the xrpcharts one and all was well. Might have been a malfunction of the bithomp explorer, but it sure scarred the **** of me!!

Come here to ask questions pertaining to the how to's and what if's of technical problem solving issues. I had an issue with bithomp dealing with a 2 part verification and a lost phone that had me thinking that I had lost all of my XRP's of which it took me over a week to find a solution which prompted this post. So, I hope this new topic will be of assistance to others with any problems they have. It is not a good feeling to think you may have permanently lost all of your XRP's due to an over looked technical issue. There is much to be learned for most of us about crypto's and no one person knows it all but there are years of combined experience on this forum that can would be more than happy to assist you.

Hi, Few month ago I generated an address in bithompand I copy & paste the public key and the secret key. over the month I made some xrp purchases and sent it to that ripple address. But today I wanted to move all my xrp somewhere else, so I go to gatehub and I import the secret ket....and it imported a different address then my public address that I got from bithomp!!I tried importing it also via other service and they all gave that same-different public address!! the public address I got from bithomp is r97wz2NGhfjoRYN3F7Wf1mLW7eeN1x9Z6w Please help! I'm desperate! One more thing - I got the bithomp link from here they have several options there...

Hi guys, I made a rather big XRP transfer from my hosted wallet at Gatehub to my Kraken account. Both adress and tag info were entered correctly, but Kraken didn't credit it. Already waiting almost 40 hours now. To log a ticket with Kraken, I had to add the transaction ID for my XRP transaction. Then I noticed that both Bithomp and XRPCharts do not list any transaction ID's ! Bithomp does show the transactions, but not the ID's XRPCharts doesn't even show the transactions. My history field is empty when I open it for my adress (see below) Then I thought of just checking the tx ID's at Gatehub. But when I tried to view the transaction on my account at Gatehub, I got the following error: This is not an incident, I keep having these errors at Gatehub Tagging @enej here also So finally I managed to find my TX ID's through Ripple's RPC Tool ( https://ripple.com/build/ripple-info-tool/ ) , but this is very technical and not user friendly at all. So I'm beginning to get the feeling that there is something in the Ripple network that prevents transaction data from showing correctly. Does somebody have an explanation for this ? Or are there other user friendly block explorers that do show the tx ID's for each transaction ? Maybe @JoelKatz can shed some light on this ? Thanks all !

I just found out I never activated my account from 2014. I found out because when I typed in my key at world exchange, it showed up as not yet activated. It directed me to bithomp that showed my address. When I clicked to activate it said the server was down for maintenance. I have a couple questions: when I activate it, will it provide me with the XRP that I purchased back in 2014 as opposed to its rate today? Also, is there another way to get the ball rollig to get this activated other than bithomp? I have my phrase, wallet username, secret key, and address.

Hi there, Last night I activated my XRP wallet on bithomp. I sent 0.0028 BTC in order to do this, which I calculated at the time to be about 70XRP. Checking my wallet (on bithomp) it has indeed been activated and has 20XRP. Is this discrepancy an activation fee that bithomp charge? The link I used for bithomp was the one provided in the beginners/how-to post series; but I wasn't able to find mention of an activation charge associated with bithomp. Cheers

So I made a wallet via bithomp and didn't read through enough and didn't activate it. I sent 245 XRP to it Fromm poloniex.. is it gone forever? I can't access my address.. what are my next steps if any??
