  1. In today's blog, the retrospective of XRP and Ripple finishes with a closer look at our prior year, 2017. We've come a long way, and 2017 demonstrates that in spades. This blog will cover key code updates for XRP, the controv ersial topic of anonymous payments, community promotions, and XRP's own version of the "Bitcoin Pizza Guy," which is known more as the "XRP Jacket Guy." (He knows who he is!) And for those of you that are new, I wax nostalgic about the old RippleTrade wallet - something only fellow XRP veterans will appreciate. No retelling of 2017 for Ripple and XRP would be complete without discussing SWELL and the Central Bank Summit on Blockchain hosted by Ripple. I hope you enjoy the read - please leave any feedback below! Feel free to share my blog with a friend or on any other platform - and thank you for doing so! 2. Hi Guys, As promised in Q4 report, Ripple is working on custodian ship issue, please find the good news below. Lets hope for the institutional funds down the road for XRP. BitGo Enters Into Agreement To Acquire Kingdom Trust BitGo’s Combined Offering with Kingdom Trust Provides the First Complete and Independent Qualified Custodial Offering for Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, and More January 25, 2018 02:30 PM Eastern Standard Time PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BitGo, the leader in digital currency security solutions for institutional investors, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Kingdom Trust Company, a South Dakota-chartered, fully regulated trust company with over $12 billion in assets under custody. Under the agreement entered into on January 11, 2018, BitGo will acquire Kingdom Trust Company and Kingdom Services. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. “Global financial markets have longed for an end-to-end solution offering both the technology to secure digital currencies as well as the legal and compliance controls necessary to integrate into mainstream financial portfolios” Tweet this Kingdom Trust meets all applicable requirements of Internal Revenue Code 408 to serve as a qualified custodian as defined in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. The custodial services offered by the trust company, alongside BitGo’s market-leading digital currency security protection software, will make the combined companies the only full-stack, at scale provider of onsite and online protection for digital currency investments held by institutional investors. “Global financial markets have longed for an end-to-end solution offering both the technology to secure digital currencies as well as the legal and compliance controls necessary to integrate into mainstream financial portfolios,” said Mike Belshe, CEO of BitGo. “BitGo has established itself as the digital security leader, and Kingdom Trust has served as a 40 Act qualified custodian for almost a decade and has developed the expertise required by institutional investors necessary for compliance with the Act. Both companies are working toward safety of money and assets. BitGo and Kingdom are building products for the future - marrying the new technology with the safety and controls all investors require.” About BitGo BitGo is a blockchain software company that secures digital currency for institutional investors. 3. SWELL has generated industry-wide publicity for Ripple. Time to give those curious some advice on their first steps in owning XRP. This blog entry is for the newbies! I cover topics like choosing an exchange and a wallet, for those that are just stepping into the space. Hope you enjoy & please feel free to leave feedback below. As always, feel free to share on other media & thanks for doing so! My blog announcements on other media: Twitter Reddit Bitcointalk - alt coin sub forum Bitcointalk - XRP speculation thread Discord
  4. I think XRP is about to hit some mainstream adoption numbers. I talk about what this might look like in terms of volume, as well as the reasons driving this change. It's kind of a continuation from the previous blog entry; I extrapolate some volume numbers from South Korea and then discuss other topics that should be leading to "imminent" mainstream adoption for crypto - and for XRP! Please leave any feedback below and feel free to share on other media. 5. We’re pleased to announce that the multi-sign XRP wallets are now available via both Web and API interfaces to all BitGo enterprise customers. https://medium.com/@mikebelshe/xrp-multi-sign-wallet-general-availability-1bad5cab0d59
  6. http://www.bitcoinisle.com/2017/05/22/ripple-leverages-bitgo-partnership-to-list-xrp-on-six-new-platforms-2/ XRP is being added all over the place. We have arrived!
  7. I think it's about time a professional Wallet for XRP to be build, which could be both secure and trusted! From what I understand the only fairly good option out there is the Gatehub Wallet, but a lot of people are complaining from it with this watch only wallet issue! Back then I haven't heard anybody complaining from RippleTrade! For most of the people just finding out about Ripple, the Desktop Wallets are out of the question, because they are not develepod and maintained by some big company and at the end its about trust! (No offence to the people who developed these Desktop wallets) I am really excited about the BitGo Enterprise Wallet for XRP being build! Are the any updates and a launch date, I really hope its comming soon! All the Ripplers out there, please share your thoughts and your opinion and let them know there is a High Demand for professional Enterprise Wallet for XRP !
  8. I was logged into my Bitstamp account the other day, and noticed this on the withdrawal options page: "...Tick this box if the destination address supports BitGo Instant deposits and you need instant delivery of Bitcoins with zero confirmations. Additional fees apply. BitGo Instant Transaction Fees: Less than 1 BTC - FREE 1 BTC and more - 0.1% ...." Looks like it allows people to get past the "waiting for confirmations" annoyance if you're willing to pay a little extra. I'm not sure how the company minimizes its risk, however.
