A bit dated but couldn't find this at XRPChat so just for archival and those interested; At 19 february 2018 two Dutch parliamentarians asked formal questions about Tether to the Dutch Minister of Finance (Hoekstra). Reason for this are concerns about the Dutch ING bank who has Tether as their customer while there is an article that Tether might be involved with billions fraud. Initial questions here by SP parliamentarian: https://www.tweedekamer.nl/kamerstukken/kamervragen/detail?id=2018D05812 Above questions had addons by PvdA parliamentarian here: https://www.tweedekamer.nl

It's a podcast so I don't have a transcript to quote. But the highlight on the facebook link quotes: "We are covering 50% of all the FX payments the Santander Group does annually. It works really well... we’ve tested for two years and they work, they’re safe and they’re fully compliant.” -Santander Group Executive Chairman Ana Botin on One Pay FX Santander on One pay FX and their use of Ripple

Hello fellow hodlers For some the day is near, others need/want to wait, but ultimately some of us will sell our zerps and convert back to fiat. I want to collect some thoughts on this process. The only regulated exchange I know is Bitstamp and apparently they are OK, but I haven't transferred to them amounts beyond five-figure. I've never transferred fiat back from them to my bank either. I understand that nobody with a sane mind will post here and say: "Sure it works, I transferred back and forth a couple of millions of EUR already", but I hope we can share some in

Hi all! I am wondering if we can see what are the implications on using xRapid. Cuallix is the only available example for now. Did they reduce fees for money transfer, how long do the transactions take from start to end(start being when one sends money, end being the receiving part has money in their account).

Dear crypto-friends, I need some help ! For several weeks i'm waiting on a payment to my bankaccount from my Gatehub Wallet. And still no respons from the Gatehub support after several e-mails...getting desperate now. In my Gatehub Wallet i clicked on "Send Payment" and then i clicked on "EU bank". In the field "Send to" it was possible for me to click my EU-bankaccount number (it was memorized because i used it before to deposit money in my wallet) . I filled in the maximum amount and then next. Everything looked fine. I also have a TX hash and a conformation. But still nothing on t

Very simple: unscalable KYC/AML procedures. Imagine you were to send XRP from a wallet address to your bank. How do they know where the funds come from? Sure you can show them that you bought them at an exchange, but since the exchange transfers XRP out of a pooled account (mostly) it'll require quite a bit of work to verify that this is not dirty money. With a fiat transfer from "shady country account" to "good reputation country account" at least there's a country, a bank address, an account holder name or an account holder address to check and potentially block. With any tra

I have read all sorts of horror stories about bank accounts being closed by Banks in the UK. Is there any bank in the UK what will let me do SEPA Transfer from Bitstamp? Its ok having all the gains but if can not spend some it seams pointless!

I have a prediction for the rest of the world's population who are not yet familiar with, or involved in, blockchain technology. This is only my opinion and it's mainly based on my analogy of how banks are issuing new debit cards with RFID chips put onto them in comparison to the further growing use of blockchain (Ripple) technology in the banking sector. I remember a time not long ago when I never had to push my debit card into a card reader slot for it to scan a chip for an additional layer of protection. The moment I got my new card in the mail It had felt like it just happened over night,
