Background for those unfamiliar : Twitch. Com is a streaming site somewhat similar to youtube and vimo aimed at the gaming community. Content creators make money mostly from monthly subscriptions and ad sales. Currently every amazon prime member can get one free channel subscription as a benefit. In 2016 twitch was acquired by Amazon. In 2019 Coil is making micropayments to twitch creators. I think this could be considered as a small scale test of the xrp ecosystem by the amazon payment ecosystem. Therefore i would suggest that every coil user tries to find a twitch channel that they can watch even a small amount each month ( they have some general discussion talk show channels) . The higher the twitch /coil volume the better the chance that Amazon will spend more time investigating what else makes sense for it. https://www.businessinsider.com/amazons-970-million-purchase-of-twitch-makes-so-much-sense-now-its-all-about-the-cloud-2016-3

https://usethebitcoin.com/amazon-web-services-introduces-blockchain-framework-for-ethereum-and-hyperledger-fabric/ Apologies if this was posted before. Does anyone else see a link between the recent partnership Ripple - Hyperledger and this announcement, either XRP as a base for future ICOs (just like ETH) or XRP as a payment vehicle for scalable apps/frameworks built on top of AWS?

Hi All, Opinions on the following, if you please; https://aws.amazon.com/partners/blockchain/ I know what AWS is, as in cloud compute, however Amazon are listing R3 and Quorum on their blockchain partner list. I can see that these services are hosted on AWS and you can purchase these services through the AWS marketplace. Anything to be worried about? as in, if Amazon do chose a Blockchain solution, surely they will use one that they have already partnered with? Am I looking at this wrong the wrong angle? Appreciate any thoughts!

At some point Amazon will have to utilize some sort of cryptocurrency payment - so international shoppers can enjoy a standardized currency without worrying about exchange rates. Now the big question is: will they eventually adapt Ripple/XRP or will Amazon create its own cryptocurrency?? https://hackernoon.com/amazon-is-the-biggest-threat-to-bitcoin-right-now-62a56d8435e4

Being a change agent for banking is unforgiving work. Luckily for us, Ripple is more than up to the task. In my review of the Quarter 4, 2017 XRP Markets Report, I review the effect of recent negative publicity, as well as remind XRP investors about some key considerations that they should remember when seeing resistance to the change that Ripple - and XRP - represents. And of course, we will look at Miguel's quarterly XRP report to see some surprising numbers for Ripple. Spoiler alert: Ripple made as much money in one quarter than they did for an entire year. I'm not giving it all away, however, so you'll have to read my blog to find out more. I hope you enjoy the read - please leave any feedback below. Source: Bloomberg. With December changes in US corporation tax policy, large corporates will be able to repatriate Billions of overseas revenues in a single year, and pay a reduced US taxation on this money over the following 8 years: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-17/apple-expects-38-billion-tax-bill-on-overseas-repatriated-cash In the meantime, from today’s (always excellent) Bob Hoffman Type-A email, Amazon are developping their own global advertising platform to increase profits (they only currently achieve a 1% margin), and to compete with Google and Facebook. Google and Facebook make ALL their money from the ads they sell. Amazon will therefore also soon have significant overseas revenues to repatriate: http://typeagroup.cmail20.com/t/ViewEmail/d/981E5E090FF64A7F2540EF23F30FEDED/B1156D469AE0302EC9C291422E3DE149 What better way to repatriate all those $Bns of dollars than using Ripple products and/or XRP? Interesting times... PS. Bob Hoffman is ‘The Ad Contrarian’. As a former adman myself, I take great delight in him exposing digital ad fraud. You think bots manipulate markets? They steal ad dollars even quicker and better. http://adcontrarian.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1

This blog post is Part Two of a double feature for Thursday, January 11, 2018. Some XRP investors may not even know that the XRP Ledger, at its core, is a credit network. This is an innovation first created by Ryan Fugger, and it forms the core framework for the XRP Ledger. In my latest blog, I discuss what this means, and just for fun I show users how to create their own token on the XRP Ledger. I hope you enjoy the read - please leave all comments below! Just read that Apple and Amazon are looking at setting up shop in Saudi Arabia, now would be a good time to partner with Ripple for those cross border payments don't you think? Routers

Found a nice article about Jeff Bezos and what strategies for Amazon's future might be guided by. There were rumours about a partnership with Amazon. Since I do not think Ripple will directly partner up with Amazon (and I would be glad to be wrong on this one in the future), the idea about possible future directions is still on the table to leverage what XRP provides. One really important aspect for them is fast shipping. They can only ship as soon as payments are kind of safe. Faster payments are faster safe. For a general idea about the future mindset of all of us, please keep reading. https://medium.com/the-mission/be-prepared-to-lose-your-job-in-the-future-if-you-dont-learn-this-one-skill-now-8a87ade2a268

Basically when xrp goes up it stays up and keeps going up. It's not going to stop. The entire article is a pro xrp/amazon piece. He goes over every advantage that xrp has to entice amazon to sign on. The magnitude of this partnership would even eclipse the AMEX partnership from over a month ago. Can't wait for 2018

Hello All, First time poster, short time lurker. I am a beginner investor in every sense, but I did my due diligence over a few months before jumping in to Ripple just before the latest spike. I love a good message board, so it has been fun watching and learning the overall personality of this group. You're an intoxicating bunch. These are intoxicating times, both in the best ways. As I continue to form my opinions and develop a strategy to complement my hodling, I was curious about the following: To me, it makes sense to have a stake in the companies that partner with Ripple just in case the XRP play never fully translates. To this point, I know it's mostly banks. I've searched on here a bit and done a bit of googling and reading but have not found a complete list, however. Usually, it's something along the lines of "100+ banks including..." Does anyone have, or could anyone direct me to a comprehensive list of partners? I want to build a sort of Ripple-specific portfolio of current and potential users of Ripple tech. If it's a slow adoption, then the balance sheets of these companies will start to look better and better every quarter. Thanks for any assistance, and to good fortunes for everyone on here (who is not a useless troll).

Has Amazon critical mass to "force" other big firms to move to Ripple? (like... well I am not enough brave to mentioned, but the firm name starting with 'A' and ending with 'pple' ) Or we should wait for further other big ones to connect in order to see FOMO from other companies. Thanks (Sorry for my bad English)

AMAZON partners with DCG who works with ripple as shown below in the DCG link. There is one additional piece of information that might help solve this puzzle: Since dLocal is a RippleNet member, their customers are serious candidates for futures partnerships: Uber, DealeXtreme, Godaddy, Payoneer and so on. If Payoneer customers can become Ripple customers, the network effects will be nuts. Just look at their partnerships: https://www.payoneer.com/about/press-releases/ #XRPthestandard is step by step becoming real in my opinion.
