    Charts - How To's

An excellent point to bring up. I think a lot of people would be shell-shocked with a sudden, significant rise because of that very reason. We get moony-eyed most of the time, but we don't necessarily think about the cold, hard reality of the actual exit.

    Charts - How To's

I was thinking about this earlier today. People everywhere are freaking out that we slid from over $3 to $0.25. A whole new set of people are going to be freaking out when we go from $15 to $4. Etc.

Marjan Delatinne on the future of ripple

Yes, and I've heard this SEB figure for months (I think). It would be great to see how much xCurrent volume is pumping--and in which corridors. I would imagine over the next couple of years we will see a 'hockey stick' graph figure for xCurrent (and xRapid!) transactions, but I've certainly seen nothing yet in that regard.

Marjan Delatinne on the future of ripple

I've always enjoyed watching her interviews. She is really a big-hitter. One of the things that always pleased me was the fact that she worked for SWIFT for so long before coming over to Ripple. https://www.linkedin.com/in/marjan-delatinne-473a9813/ In her last role she was the business director for GPI, so it always made me think that she knew Ripple was the future despite SWIFT's "innovative" GPI push.
  5. Great article. For those of us who understand the utility potential of XRP and its likely role in the future world economy, it is a given that the "crypto market" (with XRP being the eventual big dog) will dwarf the gold market. I sure hope you're right, though, about it coming to fruition in 2019. Wow, wouldn't that be amazing...
  6. "XRP, also known as 'Ripples'." Funny stuff.

    SHORT STORY CONTEST VOTING

Based upon overwhelming feedback from the community, I've decided I must extend the voting for this contest considerably. This will hopefully give everyone a more realistic time frame to read more of the stories. The new voting deadline is 09/30/18. This is the day before the SWELL conference. Remember, all stories can be accessed in the "Fan Submissions" section of XRP Chat: https://www.xrpchat.com/forum/116-fan-submissions/

    Imagining a Better World

That was a great blog, and I totally agree with your sentiment that writing, art, stories, etc. can really show people what is possible, or the way things should be. Thanks for your continued promotion of the contest.

    SHORT STORY CONTEST VOTING

Well said. Additionally, it takes courage. To submit personal work for others to scrutinize is not a thing for the faint of heart. Bravo to everyone who submitted, and I hope that those of you who second-guessed yourselves will join in on the next competition (whenever that may be!).

    SHORT STORY CONTEST VOTING

Indeed. The good news is you've got almost a whole week, and many of them are quite short. And if you're like me, you have a pretty good idea about whether or not something is a true contender within the first few paragraphs. I hope voters give the writers a fair shake and try to read as much as they can.

    SHORT STORY CONTEST VOTING

All credit to the community. I had a feeling that there were many different types of stories that people would want to share, and I was not disappointed. Everyone had their own unique take, which was wonderful to be a part of. I've been reading all along, but truth be told, there are still a few I need to read before casting my own vote. I've really enjoyed this.

XRP Short Story Contest: 1,750 XRP Up for Grabs!

Update, for anyone who's interested. @Mercury has informed me that he is going to donate a silver Ripple medallion to the contest! I've decided to offer it to the "fourth place" story winner. Now there are four chances to win something! Keep the stories rolling in... so far they are top-notch! Less than two days until the deadline.
  15. Here's something that I found pretty interesting. Min-Liang Tan, the CEO of Razer, the Singapore-based global gaming manufacturer, was recently asked on Twitter by an XRP community member if he would be integrating cryptocurrency in RazerPay. RazerPay is an e-wallet service with pretty lofty goals. It's being launched first in Malaysia, with eventual global roll-out plans. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/razer-pay-launches-in-malaysia-1027341232 What's interesting is that Min-Liang Tan actually responded to this question: It was a bold interaction by PandaRippleXRP, but resulted in some potential interest from the CEO: And sure, he may have just said that to be polite and to end the conversation, but soon after he queried Twitter about the matter: If you look at the comments, you'll see that they are dominated by the XRP community extolling the virtues of XRP, the XRP Ledger, and Ripple. This made an impact on Min-Liang Tan, as shown in his next tweet: Which itself was inundated with responses from the community, not only reiterating the benefits of XRP, but also encouraging Min-Liang Tan to get hold of the people at Ripple to see how their solutions could benefit Razer. Interesting situation to follow, and definitely worth browsing the comments to see how fervent the community is. Most of us are steeped in all things XRP and have been for quite a while. It can be surprising to us that anyone can be clueless about its utility and superiority, especially a tech-minded CEO of a successful company. But the truth is, a lot of people in the world of tech and fintech are still unaware of XRP, Ripple, and Ripple's amazing products. Like in this example, I think our active community can truly end up helping gain interest.
