I got flamed when I said that we would fall below $0.28 and then I got flamed when I thought we were bottoming out around $0.18.  You can't win either way, but it's still fun 😁

Weirdly enough, on this forum it is the other way around since ‘19.

Looked up something on the BTC chart just out of curiosity.  Looked at the last "ATH" in December 2013 (~$1100) and I wanted to see how long it took until BTC touched that ATH again.
    Answer: 4 years.
So, if that is how long the last cycle took to reclaim an ATH after a peak, I was curious to see where the price of BTC was 25 months after that peak (where we are currently after the December 2017 ATH).
Answer:  ~$350.  So, about one third of the ATH peak price.
Where are we today 25 months after the latest ATH?   About one third of the peak price.  Actually, a little higher, but only by a few percentage points.
So, for all of the doom and gloom, BTC is behaving remarkably like it did in the last cycle that eventually saw a new ATH at multiples of the previous.  Not to say that history will necessarily repeat itself, but I found it reassuring.  FWIW.

It's a great film. I found it was a little over the top on computer-generated graphics....but on the other hand, that is a good means of showing a system we can't really take pictures of......and it was very fungus positive in POV, like totally ebullient........but I think everyone on earth should see the movie. It could be influential. I hope it is.
Sorry for the OT for the more focused TA aficionados, but I'm going to link it.
The kickstarter is over, I assume. The movie is out now,  and hopefully it makes some money. It was only shown in one art house here. Kudos to the Austin Film Society, another worthy cause.

Yes. I'm fairly conversant with regards to the late Terrence McKenna, DMT, ayahuasca, psilocybin, peyote, shamanism, the possible role of hallucinogens in human evolution.
Glad to see it all gaining respect in medical and scientific circles after 50 years of government repression and misunderstanding.
I'm also a Graham Hancock fan. You?

    Hey everyone
Price must be bad as I’m getting tagged by all my FUD Patrol friends all over the place.
I guess I deserve a few posts against me. I honestly thought we’d be between $10 and $20 by now.  But instead we are between 10 and 20c. Well that sucks, doesn’t it!
Please do what’s in you’re best interests. Whether that’s sell, hold or buy more.
I’m still holding and I’m in my biggest hole so far. Have we hit the bottom? Who knows now one does. Can we reach $4, $10, or even $100? No one knows that either.

I’ve always said focus on the fundamentals. Have they changed? I don’t think so. I think they are stronger than ever. But I’ve been saying that for over 2 years.
Good Luck to all genuine XRP investors out there. I hope you all have a Merry Xmas/Happy Holidays.
PS - I still think we are over due a speculative bull run. Let’s see if 2020 can mirror 2017. If not I’m sure I’ll get tagged some more lol.

I think now is a good time to take a break from watching the price.  I am not looking for a big bounce anytime soon and I am finding the constant price checking to make it more difficult to stay within my investment plan, which is to hold for 5 years from my initial purchase price.  By that point (2022-2023), XRP will most likely either be valueless or have appreciated quite significantly.  Watching the oscillations until that point serves no real purpose as a non-trader.  Part of my purpose in teaching myself TA was to identify good potential exit points, but we are currently nowhere near a price that would necessitate an exit plan.
So, I think I am going to check out of the forum for a while.  I will be hodling all the way and I may check in from time to time to see how everyone is doing, but I want to distance myself from the day to day price action.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed (positively) to this thread.  I hope when I return every so often that the thread is still alive and humming, along with the other magnificent contributions from this community.
Best to everyone and good luck to all.

I feel like we're just gonna bleed. Slowly, surely. Holders will give up. Traders will give up. People who just watch the charts will give up. When it goes up few will notice because most will have stopped caring.

He's a criminal... scammed and stolen tens of thousands from many people. I think it goes a bit beyond, 'you're an idiot'. I've said this every time his name comes up on this forum.
If I'm a criminal, and should and will be in prison, but I make good price predictions, should I be given the time of day? Up to your own ethical-internal-clock to decide upon that.
F**k him is my opinion. Convicted felons do have access to email, however. So, people can continue to ask for his invaluable analysis, if they so wish... but it'll cost about a dollar per email and make sure to send him a token so he can reply for free (JPay).

Crypto Hawk has started flip flopping like crazy. I was one of the people defending how accurate his calls had been recently, but now he’s gone from calling $0.12 yesterday to possibly $0.45 today.
He claims the data has changed, but isn’t that the whole point of forecasting. Also his posts are getting more offensive and arrogant by the day.
